He doesn't like being challenged and right now PB is challenging him and having better starts. Time to let PB get a few more starts and get the boys some more wins.

Since this thread was started, Carey Price's game has gone to ****.

Bad luck. Bad ju ju. Karma. Whatever you want to call it.

The OP has jinxed Price really really bad.

This thread needs to be deleted and we can all bash Price on the PGT.

And I am being serious. Things were going great for Price until this thread was started.

Yes he was. Players with more than 10 games he was 5th or 6th. Go look in this very thread and you'll see it.

Okay, he's sucked for two games. Maybe something's wrong with the guy.

I don't think we should go trade him for Gomez though.

As bad as the defense has been for Montreal, Price has been just as bad over the last stretch.

Some games they won't in spite of him. That needs to change fast! He needs to play like a goalie making $6.5 million!

Blame an internet thread on Price's terrible performance. Classic.

Folks on HNIC were saying he was probably the leader. GAA under 2, great save percentage, led the league in wins and logs more games than anyone. Absolutely he had a great shot at the Vezina.

And then...

Whoa, who's remotely suggesting that? I certainly am not, despite my irrational love for Gomer.

Price will bounce back, no doubt about it. You'll hate me for this, but, as a Nationals fan since 2005...this like the Nats' Franchise Player, Ryan Zimmerman, stinking up the joint through the first half of the season this year while his team had finally arrived. Then he got a cortisone shot and he went on a huge tear and the Nats won 98 games.

Not saying Price is injured, but that we finally have a team in front of him and he's playing poorly now. Obviously not half the season like in my example above, but I think you get my point. It sucks we can't have ALL parts of our team moving at the same speed at the same time.

Things were growing great for the team.

I've seen holes in Price's game since game 1 of this season.

Not the same Carey I saw last year. 0 confidence this season.

We can discuss Price all you want.

Check the date that this post was started. And then look at Price's stats since.......

Sport is all about superstitions. Every athlete will admit to it.

Actually I blame Et le But for it. He closed the Pittsburgh gt thread early and started a second one then we lost... it's all his fault.

Now I know how some players/fans of teams with great offense but terrible goaltending and bad defence feel. I don't wanna know that feel again.

This team frustrates me to no end. We play an incredible character game against a real tough team in the Bruins and WIN, and then we play like a bunch of wet diapers against a team like the Islanders.

wtf!!!

He's paid 6.5M to bail the defense out. That's top 3 money. Right now we have a key component of our defense injured. That's when our supposedly best player needs to take over and carry the team on his shoulders. Right now he's doing the opposite.

Im not defending him. But half those goals were turnovers or goals wih a man wide open
That is not true at all. Price wasn't bailing the defense out at all, we were top 3 for shots against. Common...

I don't know what's gotten into him lately. Obviously, he's not the sole culprit for all these goals. But damn, some goals he let in had nobody in front to redirect or screen. Shots he would have stopped before. I think he's in some sort of weird funk. Kind of like that one time he came back from an all stars game, during which he played well, but was just not himself when he came back.

It's odd. I'm positive he'll get it together. Even though we've got some margin with our point lead. That gap can be caught up fairly fast if we aren't careful. Come on Carey! We know you can get it done!

He was not top 10 prior to Pittsburgh, I check the stats daily on NHL.com. I just went through every post in this thread, and found no truth to your comment. Unless you can prove me wrong with proof of that post (because I must be blind), then I stand correctly that Price was not Top 10, even before the match against Pittsburgh.

That's assuming the Habs make the playoffs with this shotty goaltending. (Not saying he can't come out of it; So don't overreact)

As great as this ride has been all season long, they're only 9 points out of 9th place. And if the Rangers maintain their lead, it will be 8 points.

I'm not saying the sky is falling, but Price has not been very solid all season long. Virtually night in and night out the opposing goalie has been better than Price, but the play has usually been in the other end.

Price needs to shake whatever it is that's bothering him and step up.

12 goals in the last 2 games?
