Yet 2 weeks ago we were all talking about if he'd be starting for Team Canada at Sochi next year.

Although, I'm not sure why i'm acting surprised at the level of panick...it takes 1 or 2 bad games for Habs fans to forget about an entire season that's exceeded ALL of our expectations.

1 or 2 bad games undoes all of the good that this team and organization has accomplished this year lol

Like I said...never change Habs fans

Didn't you 'pwnd' me a few posts ago? Doens't that mean you should stop quoting me?

Is that how it works?

Also, I don't think you know what the word 'perspective' means...mix in some reading

RIGHT NOW it's 1 or 2 bad games.. (though it's more in actuality but if you think it's 1-2, that's only in your mind)

But he better step up or we will be in deep trouble.

Carey Price is allowed to have bad games...

were you as upset when Tomas Plekanec got abused by the Pens the other day?

What I'm worried about is that he continues to... 'have bad games'.

If it stops now... then fine, whatever.

But he hasn't looked like myself in the last few games and if that continues for much longer we are screwed.

And folks here are allowed to talk about what might be the reasoning behind this. Is the reason we have a forum, to begin with. So - stop telling what is or is not possible or allowed. You're no mod, thank God....

Yeah, see.. I'm not trying to BASH Price, I would love for him to do well, but..

I will not coddle him either, this is ridiculous.

He strongly deserves any and all criticism that is being thrown his way right now for 'sucking' and looking horrible.

So you're pre-panicking in other words?

OMG you live in Canada, i forget the inscrption rate for hockey is at 100%.

Everything you just posted is an indication that you never played hockey or very little of it. Goaltending is mostly mental.
Have you watched Lundqvist this year? Rinne? Miller?Quick? Brodeur? Howard? Luongo?
All considered "elite" goalies who have had bad stretches and looked terrible in some starts.
You re-focus. Re-set and move on. Only in Montreal do we have to question the goalie with the most wins in the league on a first place team (at the moment).

anyways, this is ridiculous. Enjoy your ranting & behaving like a child.

Only a few people have actually provided any reasoning as to WHY he hasn't played well recently...most here are just panicking for no reason.

Also, where did you see me tell anyone what is or is not allowed? I have no aspirations to become a mod, so you're safe there.

1, 2, 3,4 or 5 bad games...doesn't change my opinion.

he's allowed to have bad games

I am? So because i'm not ready to jump off a bridge and name Peter Budaj the #1 goalie, it means i'm coddling him? lol

Yeah, he hasn't played well recently...he's struggling with his technique, he's not tracking the puck very well AND his defense is really struggling with slot coverage and turning the puck over, especially in the neutral zone...

All of these things combined, some of which are Price's issues some of which are not, explain why he's struggling recently.

with the schedule as it is...there isn't alot of time for practice, which is where you iron out the kinks in Price's technique and the team's defensive zone coverage.

But the sample size is still too small for it to be an issue IMO...I don't think we're at the point where we need to start questionning Price's standing as our #1 goalie

That's absolutely ridiculous lol

Whoa... who the F ever said that?

All us hab fans want and wish for Price to do well, that's WHY we're upset.

And when did I ever coddle Price?

Also, all you Habs fan want and wish is for Price to do well EVERY SINGLE GAME, he's not allowed to make mistakes or have bad stretches

That's just not realistic...

Also, sorry...I just find it incredibly childish that ANY Habs fan is currently 'upset'. The team is coming of a stretch where it's racked up points in 11 consecutive games, and you're upset cause Price has let in a few bad goals recently?

Jeez...

When a goalie allows bad goals, and flukey goals, that's one thing.

When a goalie who hasn't really proved anything in his NHL career yet (beyond having massive potential) starts to play like a completely different person, WHILE letting in crap goals.. is where it starts to get downright scary.

Just hope he snaps out of it soon.

if you really believe that Carey Price 'hasn't proven anything'...then there's no point in really continuing this 'debate'.

What a ridiculous statement. Nevermind the rest of it where you say that 'he's playing like a completely different person'.

This thread needs a massive tampon to absorb all the menstruation going on in here...

What has he proven?

That he's a capable #1 goalie? sure.

What else? What has he proven in the playoffs...?
