Most likely Pevs. Nothing wrong with Pev as a second line C. Bergeron line is the true #1 line, Lucic-Horton-Pevs as the #2.

Marchand-Bergeron-Caron
Lucic-Seguin-Peverley
???-Spooner-Horton
Paille-Campbell-Thornton

Don't know who ??? would be but these lines are somewhat balanced. The third line I listed can't be as bad as it is now and hopefully we get to see Soderberg sometime soon because it looks like we need him more than ever right now. Hope the Krejci injury isn't serious.

What's the 3rd line then? Your short 1 center. If its Spooner, which I couldnt see Claude doing, that line would probably never see the ice. I wouldn't blame him either.

Marshy-Bergy-Segs
Lucic- Pev-Horton

Caron-?????-Panfoldo

Merlot line.

The only problem with bumping Peverley up is it takes most of the talent out of the bottom 6. I'd like to see something like this.

Lucic-Seguin-Horton

Marchand-Bergeron-Caron

Paille-Peverley-Spooner

Macdermid-Campbell-Thornton

No more Pandawful

I would just laugh if they called up Spooner to center the third line.
Nothing against him, but this would make look this "Seguin is not ready to play center"-crap
even more ridicilous.

Spooner isn't comfortable as a wing.

Well looking at the post game talk thread, Krejci is walking on his own without a brace which is good news.

That's right, put Peverley on his wing then.

Could Campbell C on line 3, and call up a guy like Whitfield to play 4-5 mins on line 4?

For a few games: Absolutely.

Offense wise - third line can not be less productive.
Fouth line - Paille centering Thornton and Mcdermid.

Let's give a few games, if necessary, for DK to see how the situation will progress...

Now Caron on first and second line duty -- ouff.. barely ok on the third!

Why not make Paille, Soupy, and Pevs the third line? Caron, *a call up, and Thornton the fourth line.

* I don't care who the call up is, Spooner, Whitfield, Camper, Hanson? which ever C is best on faceoffs and either brings energy or offence (not easy to do with Thornton and Caron as your linemates)

This is probably what we will see before we give the Providence kids a shot. Or maybe we'll see them be a little more adventurous with our prospects. Claude/Chia have been known to be more cautious than not.

Also... has Pandolfo played center?

I can see Pandolfo slotted down on the forth line. Paille and Campbell on the 3rd; and McDermid on the 4th line.

Not what I'd like to see, but possible.

Kelly did too and now he's on the IR with a fractured tibia.

Honest question, do you think Spooner would rather play center in Providence or wing in Boston?

Agreed. So far, the best thing that can be said about Caron is "he's not Chris Bourque", and I can't even say definitively that he's all that much better than Bourque - he's just someone that's not him. The idea of bumping him up to a top 6 role in spite of the next-to-nothing that he's done with the B's is a head-shaker for me.

I'd rather they overload the top 2 lines (at the expense of the 3rd line) and use Peverley in between Lucic & Horton, especially if it's a short-time thing while Krejci's given a day or two to recuperate.

If this is the strong point for your argument, you've lost the argument.

The fact is, Seguin is producing on the wing. He has found his touch and he and Marchand are two of this team's biggest point producers. Seguin (22) is fourth in pts. behind Bergeron (25), Krejci (24), and Marchand (23). Only one point separates each from the other, and then next point leader on the team (Lucic) is 5 points behind Seguin.

He is second in goal production, only 2 goals behind Marchand, who leads the team. Bergeron's line is the top scoring line (30 goals). Krejci's line -- the "#1" line <cough, cough> -- follows with 19 goals.

This is why you don't dismantle the second line: it is this team's primary goal/point production engine. If Seguin is ever to play center for the Bruins, it will be when one of either David Krejci or Patrice Bergeron stop playing center for the Bruins.

When Krejci is back he can go to RW.
