Can the Panthers afford Corey Perry?

What is your opinion? Lets say the Ducks don't re-sign Perry and the Panthers manage to get him via trade or he tests the free agent market and is intrested in playing in Florida, can the Panthers afford him? What do you think are the chances of Perry wearing a Panther jersey next season? Would you want him?

They have the cap, they can't afford him and the chances are nil.

Had a dream we traded for him. Gave up Kulikov and next years 1st and 2nd rounders.

Only in NHL 13. The only chance is that He wants time play on the east coast. Maybe Lebron can convince him to play close to south beach.

You mean maybe LeBron can convince him to take his talents to South Beach (Sunrise).

Wondering if we would trade for or sign a guy like Perry or Getzlaf or similar is just the epitome of base fan-boy thinking. It's almost as good as posts like this:

Ok so we trade Kulikov and Mathias and 4 first round picks for Crosby and sign Daniel Sedin as a free agent. Imagine in 4 years time, after we draft 2 more top-3 picks;

Hubs-Crosby-Sedin
Mackinnon-Bjugstad-Future 1st round pick

OMG. Droooool. #just give us the cup now

The NHL and the Florida Panthers don't play in a vacuum, or NHL 2013

Maybe D-Wade can give him a signed basketball too.

There's plenty of guys that I'd love for the team to sign. However, it will never happen with the current blueprint in place. Tallon is building this team through the draft. He may sign a good player at some point, but not to the caliber of someone like Perry.

Don't hold your breath.

SSE is more interested in Katy Perry than Corey Perry.

Let's just tell SSE they're related and one won't sign without the other. Problem solved.

So if they're related, we get bad music and bad hockey?

But wait, we already have bad hockey, and i imagine bad music. So ..... why waste the money.

We can absolutely afford him, especially when considering stuff like moving Upshall or Bergenheim and not taking back Weiss.

Will we? Not a chance in hell.
