How does it make sense for the Isles? One of their current problems is they're too small on defense. Adding Weber and subtracting Carkner doesn't really help this.

Spot on, he is a better option than Finley. I think as this point the Isles are not expecting him back anytime soon either. He was out a couple weeks with a groin pull. He started skating again last week and then they said that he had a major setback, to me it sounds like he has a tear, otherwise what is a major setback?
