Didn't look too bad. It was when we had a 3 on 1 and no one shot. Hall passed it to Nuge and kind of biffed it. Maybe a slight groin pull.

When Whitney is your best player... You're gonna lose, more or less.

Lets see Tambellini sit on his hands some more. We don't need size at all!

The Blues are not only a much better team but they are a matchup nightmare for the Oilers. The Oilers can't compete in a tight checking game, it has been proven time and time again. I'm not even mad at this loss, completely expected it. Just move on and take down the Wild on Sunday. I'm much MUCH more concerned about Hall's injury than a loss to a Cup contender in their building on the 2nd of back to backs.

I thought so as well and Yak had a better game. Which may be crucial if Hall is injured for any length.

Pretty sure it was earlier, he went in to the boards fast and got checked hard into the boards but stayed on his feet awkwardly.

My guess is he tried to play through it and maybe re-aggravated it.

This team's mentality is mind boggling. Every time they face adversity, they stop shooting the puck. I don't understand it.

If Hall is out for any extended period of time, especially if it covers the road trip, we're in deep deep trouble.

Losses against a team like the Blues aren't surprising. They have a great mix of veterans and youth.

Big changes are needed. Not enough players who bring a consistent effort and need to get bigger. Young and learning too so lots of dumb low iq plays every game. When the older guys do it too you are in trouble.

Yeah, after the first it was all Blues and it was more than apparent how much further along they are. Makes you think they caught the Stars on an off-night more than anything else.

We need to pick up some dmen or centers that can break up the opponent's cycle. We do a good job not getting scored on, but so much time gets killed. Valuable time that could be used to score.

Also if I was coach, I would tell RNH to do nothing but take shots next practice. The rest of his game is fine but he has to start scoring. God knows he is getting the chances.

If this was a playoff series the Oilers would be lucky to win a game.

Oh well...no one in their right mind expected anything other than a loss in this game.

.500 so far on the road trip...thats about as good as it gets for this team.

Hall had better be ok or this team is really in trouble.
yeah .500 is about as good as we could possibly hope for... not only is this a ridiculously long road trip, with a stretch of 7 games in 10 days, it's largely against teams that usually destroy us or are unbelievable this year (chicago x2, dallas, minny, st. louis)... if we can fluke out with 9 points this trip, that's about as good as we could possibly hope for

if hall is done though, our season is toast and it's time to start the jones v mackinnon debate

This team has such a short memory.

Never remembers what makes them successful, what brings them wins.

Sure, the whole team sucked, Dubnyk can't let in a weak goal like that. If it wasn't for that goal, we had a great chance of getting at least a point, maybe 2 if it went to a shootout.

Inexcusable. He knew it too.

The Oilers are so inconsistent. Right when things are turning good for them they play a game like today. If Taylor Hall's injury is long term, this season is as good as done.

I don't look at it that way today. One team was outclassing the other until those goals happened and after. We got lucky and caught them sleeping in the second.

You can't just sit back against at Louis

Chances were high the blues would come back especially when it takes you ten plus minutes to get a shot

People hate negative guys like me but I'm realistic. This team very very very rarely outplay other teams. Outclassed 5 on 5 almost every game. Your odds are not good.

I'm concerned big time about RNH. More than just worried about him being in a slump. Defensively he has been very good, but from a 1st overall pick on your 1st line that isn't good enough.

You should not be seeing this kind of a stretch from a first overall player. He is getting prime offensive minutes and doing nothing with them.

It's not just a case of him not being dialed in with the shot. I can't remember the last time we saw a "wow" play from him this season. He is completely ineffective offensively. His highly praised "best since Gretzky" hockey sense seems to have left him.

I'm overreacting I'm sure and everyone please feel free to call me out on it...but maybe we made the wrong choice with this kid at #1. He's on pace right now for the worst second season for a 1st overall forward going as far back as I bother to look (20+ years).

Sophomore slump + injured shoulder.

Our center depth would be putrid if we had taken Larsson or Landeskog.

So? Weak goals happen all the time. It was clear who the better team was. The Blues and it wasn't even close. Dubnyk is the least of their problems right now.

That would be funny if Hall was out for the Minnesota game. Their fans would be really disappointed haha
