Here is his review of 2 of our prospects:

#23 Lukas Sutter Grinder [Winnipeg Jets]
Pros: Good skater. Solid frame and uses it. Great pest. Loves to hit.
Cons: Hitting leaves him out of position at times. Offensive game could be lacking.
Potential: 3rd line forward

#9 Ryan Olsen Grinder [Winnipeg Jets]
Pros: Good frame. Always physical. Great on the forecheck. Good shot. Drives to the net. Awesome hands.
Cons: Consistency is an issue. Could be better positional in both zones.
Potential: Bottom 6 forward
Here's another one from the same guy:

#10 Zachary Yuen Two-Way Defenseman [Winnipeg Jets]
Pros: Good skater. Always makes the smart play. Plays both ends of the ice. Plays every situation.
Cons: Could be more physical. Offensive potential might be limited.
Potential: 3-5 spot TWD

Yes!

It looks good to finally see him listed on the roster.

Right on. Any idea when he plays his first game? I'd like to watch.

I'd say that's sufficiently frightening. Hopefully he uses it well in that league too.

He can literally flip kids over at the WHL level, so we'll see.

I hope he stays at centre. Just gives us another option down the road.

From what I've read, it appears he's projected as a 3rd liner. Any opinions on that?

His topgear and acceleration currently project him as "most likely" a 3rd liner, BUT he improved pretty decently last offseason. If he were to continue improving at this rate, I could see a rise in his ceiling.

He was playing LW the last part of the season. Not sure where he will get shifts for St. John's.

He is listed in the game-day lineup for tonight (!) but it seems logical they'd "healthy scratch" him given his full travel day yesterday.

Who knows though? Perhaps he'll play tonight!!!!

Going from the airplane to the ice worked pretty well for all the NYR recent acquisitions so why not?.

I think his skating will improve. His first few steps are still a little awkward, but the top gear is there. Overall it's already decent for a guy who is 6'5", he was a little better when he was 16 and shorter which makes me think he'll adjust just fine after the growth spurt. As he's been steadily progressing since then.

That will be interesting for sure. Not saying whatever spot he plays in his stint here in St. John's is indicative of where TNSE see's him in the future, but it will be interesting to see where they slot him in.

It's probably easier to slot a new, young guy onto the wing, but I don't know the Ice Caps current lineup configurations.

Any Ice Cap fan able to give us an idea as to where they see him fitting in?

Looks like he's slotted as a LW:

http://stjohnsicecaps.com/team/roster/player/4884/

Either way, it's nice that he has experience with both positions.

Interesting. Anyone know the Ice Caps current line combos?

For which day?
McCambridge changes them pretty often, mostly because they have more guys on roster than spots to fill.

really hope for a game 7 with Kelowna and Kamloops, because I know one of the Blazers so its hard to cheer against them (thomson). I know hes not a jet prospect, but has anyone seen him play much? They never came to Brandon this year so I havnt seen him play. Sorry for kind of taking this OT

I like Barrie's top5:
Scheifele, Camara, Hall, AA, and Theoret

Speaking of which... back-to-back great plays by Athanasou

Yeah 4 games. Tonight was is 4th game if the suspension, so with a sweep he would miss a good chunk of the east final. But don't expect a sweep, Oshawa is a very strong team and is capable of getting a couple wins against the Colts.
