Well since you were watching the game, how was the overtime winner?

Good - great effort by Hall to get the puck out in front of the net to Athanasiou. He was on his back in the corner/behind the net, and managed to sweep the puck in front of the net.

Game had a lot of energy - Belleville did NOT want to lose in regulation, Colts wanted to win in regulation. Haven't looked at the standings, but that point the Colts gave up to them could mean that they finish first in the division. Had a bit of a playoff feel to it.

Hopefully we get to see a Belleville-Barrie final in the east. Barrie has been pushing for the first place in the east by winning 5 in a row now. They will have to win the next four to have a chance at it.

Not sure if anyone has said this, but Trouba had 1G, 1A, +1 and 8 SOG tonight

That's be a great series, for sure. Scheifele, Camara, vs. Gaunce, Subban (among others). They do seem to play each other really close - would definitely be fun to watch.

I took a look, to access Michigan games this is what you can buy:

MGoBlueTV monthly $9.95
MGoBlueTV yearly $79.95
Big Ten Digital Network Monthly Subscription $14.95
Big Ten Digital Network Yearly Subscription $119.95

Seems kinda pricey but I might get a month at 10 bucks and see how it goes. I think it's the CCHA playoffs right now right?

It's an interactive flash site, so not phone/tablet friendly.

That's correct. In fact, a win tonight means that Michigan is through the first round!

Looks like the semi's start on Friday, maybe I'll buy then. And speaking of Trouba, picture from tonight.

On his back, or put a bee stinger on his ass. At least you can't say you didn't see him coming with that jersey on.

Big win! Puts Michigan into the quarterfinals.

Michigan is lucky to be in the playoffs, really inconsistent play from them all season.

A lot of that blame goes on their goalies. They have dominated play and lots a lot.

When they had Red Berenson on the other week he said it didn't look like they would make the playoffs , so this was unexpected.

On the mid season review with Hustler and Lawless , when they asked Noel about what he did during the lock out he mentioned seeing Trouba some.

What I got from that is that he clearly said several times he felt Trouba wasn't challenged, wasn't pushed physically . If that is how Chevy also feels , I can easily see them not feeling that another year at UM would in the overall best interest for the player and the organization.

Scheif with 1 + 1 today with 5 minutes left in the second period. Barrie leads 4-3 over Niagra.

Edit: Correction, he's now credited with another assist. So 1G, 2A so far with most of the 3rd to go.

Hattie and two apples for Scheifele. Barrie up 6-5 three minutes to go

Edit: they won. 5 point night and a +2 not too shabby. I see he wants it to still be a debate about who our top prospect is.

Down by a goal in the third , score to tie and then add the winner to make it a 3 goal , 2 assist game. Sweet. Still don't see how he isn't here and helping this team to be blunt. But , no sulking , like some have done.

Character kid.

Scheif had an incredible game - just buzzing out there. Contributed to 5 of Barrie's 6 goals. He jumped from 16th in scoring, to 13th, and now has 38 goals in 43 games. Very likely that he hits 40 with 3 games left.

For active OHL players (IE: not Galchenyuk) he also now leads the OHL in PPG, at 1.79 to 1.77 for Strome. The next closest player to them is Trocheck at 1.68. Finally, he's 8th in goal scoring, while playing 10-20 fewer games than any of the players ahead of him.

Impressive - looking forward to the OHL playoffs this year!

He's been in on a ridiculous % of Barries goals since being sent back. Has to be over 50%. He's dominating junior. Good to see

I'm so glad the Jets decided to sent Scheifele back to Barrie. Without him the Colts were just a decent team that would never be able to match the other strong teams. But with him, we now have a good chance at winning the east and even the champianship to go to the memorial cup.

Not a totally comparable situation but last year in his second year of Junior Yakupov posted 69 in 42. Scheifele is 8 months older in his third junior year and has 77 in 43. He's a top prospect league wide, not just on the Jets.

Nice to see him win the head to head against Strome. Looming forward to seeing him next year after another summer of strength training.
