Could be worse. Lots of game left. Toots makes Carcillo bleed and maybe we can get some momentum and PP's. Dats , Jimmy and Z will win this game for us.

Forward wise... Brunner playing well, Tatar, Tootoo. I wish to Christ that Datsyuk could get some help. Watching Cleary and then Abby both flub the same pass from Datsyuk and not even get a shot on net...

Waves of sadness washing over me.
I remember Abdelkader got a bouncing pass in his feet in the slot. Is that what you're talking about? I doubt Datsyuk could get a shot off in that scenario.

Franzen at 3.9 vs Hossa at a shade over 5 mil may be one of the worst decisions Kenny has ever made.

This is the type of game where the team that should win, doesnt. That bodes well for the Wings.

Could have easily just let Vancouver offer the offersheet on Flip or moved some salary around. But people on these boards were right. Why sign someone who "doesn't show up in the playoffs" when we have a superstar like Franzen .

-It really could have been trade return of Flip (which would probably be close to an all-time high)
-Hossa

For
Filppula

In all seriousness though, I think it's just clear Franzen isnt happy with Babcock or the system we're playing. He's a passionate guy and only plays when he's content with the system or pissed off. Here's to hoping Kane jaws at him again.

As if. You've got one scoring line.

No way the Wings win this game if the Hawks keep playing like this. Unless Jimmy has an unreal game
Reminds me of when Herb Brooks was talking about Jimmy Craig. When he's on he's an unbelievable goaltender, I mean really he has an elite level when he's on. Problem is Howard has games where he's flat and Jimmy gives up a lot of soft goals

One of that writers on Kuklas Korner. I think it was Paul or that George guy insisted that there was no choice and Hossa was never staying here long term. Alright. :

It's not like Hossa went to some warm climate team with lower taxes or anything.

Can't get em all right. DD looked horrible when he traded for Edgar Renteria and it failed badly. However he also got Jackson and Scherzer for Granderson which was actually genius

Dude, Franzen scored like a billion goals in the playoffs ten years ago though!

Like you have, I have heard the exact opposite.

The whole reason he came here over the Penguins is he always respected the Wings Franchise and wanted the chance to play with Datsyuk and Zetterberg.

You mean scoring the most goals on the team last year?

I don't think anyone will argue that Chicago is a better team right now, but you can't look at our lines and say that we are putting the best possible players out right now.

Abdelkader hasn't scored a goal in almost a year. That isn't an exaggeration. He has ONE assist his past 35 GP.
