Nah man. I believe some of the most optimistic posters refrain from posting when so much crap is being posted. This team WILL lose some games, ****ing won't be the end of the world or won't make this team bad. Pretty much, this team is good and that's all there is.

Now, let's win the Third period.

Maliki and others have typically short memories as quack Habs fans tend to have. Roy was nearly run out of town in 1992 after an MVP calibre season where he was a sieve against Boston in the Adams Final then had a terrible start to 92-93. He got ousted in favour of Hayward for the 87 playoffs and fans called his 86 run a fluke. In 89 he got outduelled by Vernon and they called him soft mentally. In 1990 the Habs just simply got outmatched by Boston but in 91 Roy's soft goal tendencies hurt the team and Moog outplayed him.

There was a history of Roy being a Vezina goalie and it was never enough for some. Even Jacques Plante had times where the press and fans wanted him gone (1961 and 1963 mainly and the second time they got their wish cause he'd irked Blake one too many times). Got the job when Gerry McNeil was cast aside for being unable to get the Habs over the SCF hump. Before and in between he won an MVP and six Vezinas. The same expectations go for Carey. A vezina won't quell the haters at all. Not until he pulls a Jonathan Quick will they ever give him credit for being a top flight goalie.

Hab fans are a reactionary, idiotic bunch. They wanted Roy traded and Racicot to get the #1 job in the middle of 92-93! I'll tell ya what frustrating goaltending really was: Thibault/Jablonski, Theodore every 2nd year and Aebischer. Otherwise Hab fans have had little to ***** about in net. And in the late 70s any time Dryden blew, they crowed for Larocque. Dryden retired before that could happen and guess what? Bunny Larocque was a choker and no Dryden that's for sure. Got traded out of Montreal in '81 and showed that with a bad team in Toronto, he was a merely average goalie that had been made to look great in front of The Big Three.

That's what a good player look like. No matter where you place him in the team, no matter how much ice time you gave him, no matter which player play with him, he WILL make the difference and help you win almost every game.

Nope. Rebuild is over. There will be no more tanking for a long time. Gally x2 have ensured us of this.

Only way to add to the rebuild is by trading vets for prospects.

So nice to have a player like Gally who drives to the net all game long.

I'm looking good now for starting a thread at the beginning of the year making a case for Gallagher being a nhler this year haha.

I knew this kid was going to be good he has an edge in his game that just cannot be described.

Now Price get your **** together and play you owe Gallagher two dozens of prostitutes.

And conversely, I can't imagine why more people don't get their rocks off when the team is in the midst of a mid game slump.

Crosby with some positive things to say about Therrien's influence early in his career...

no way to know for sure, but it seemed genuine enough.

either way, gotta like how both Gally & Galch are being used and how they're playing under MT. Seriously doubt it would look like this if JM was still running the show.

That's why I like the 3rd pick in the Cole deal!
