2 things of concern I've said since day 1 of Fasth is Anaheim has been was poor rebound control and slow lateral movement especially when the pucks goes behind the net. None of this has changed in 11 games of seeing him in my perspective.

Being aggressive doesn't mean you can't move laterally. There was ample time to get across the crease and be in proper position to make a simple save. It's not just that play either. The Sulivan wrap around attempt was there he just didn't hug the post. I've seen this multiple times now with him in net and a big area of concern in my eyes.

I first thought he was slow as a result to transitioning to the smaller ice as its a faster game and he's not used to having to get over quickly but 12 games in its the same thing. Maybe the adjustment period will take longer or simply maybe he just doesn't have the explosive push up to get across.
Poor rebound control? Im not sure you are serious.. Its one of his biggest strength.
And yes he had a slow lateral movement on that bounce because he wasn't expecting it.

We need a good goalie coach like Allaire was.

His rebound control is better than earlier in the year. He was pretty bad in his first few games. I do agree that he is slow laterally at times.

Home rink advantage. 1st time playing there in a while. They know their boards better than we do.
We should aim wide, and jump on the rebounds the same way they have been doing. Bank passes all around.

Mike Smith can create a Giguere-like bubble around himself. He's super streaky. I'd like to torch him tonight so that he's not too confident in the next couple.

Why? Because Ahlers and Hazy say he's good at deflecting his rebounds? He was piss poor at the beginning of the year and has slowly gotten better. He still leaves juicy rebound right in the slot more often than not.

I don't care if he wasn't expecting it. He still needs to be in proper position to make a save. That's what separates elite players from the average. Also it wasn't just that play. He's been slow in his lateral movement since being in Anaheim. I can't speak for his play outside the NHL.

Pretty sure nobody is calling for Hiller right now. There is no pissing match. Just simply pointing out areas of concern that Fasth needs to work on. You are creating an imaginary pissing match amongst yourself.

Apparently we can't be critical of anything anymore this game. All positive everyone. I don't want to be labeled a Toronto fan.

That thing that you're not allowed to explicitly hope for? I'm hoping for it. Raffi Torres is a menace.

I don't know if it's the ice or fatigue but they're having a tough time controlling the puck out there.

Lovejoy could have done a lot more on that rush than attempt a weak slapper like that.

Yeah. I'm sure he'll weep over the unfairness of his impending $280 fine later.
