Stevie's trolling us!

Actually though, I'm not totally unhappy with this. Hall means we don't have to raid Syracuse again. Plus, I liked him more than most on this board. And it makes the electricity TV spot not look so stupid, since Hall's face is right there next to Stammer. 7th rounder is the next Datsyuk.

Guys it's all part of the Yzerplan 2nd trade incoming which will make Hall needed on the roster because room will open up for him.

And...he's on waivers. Which means that a 7th rounder was the best that Yzerman could get for Bergeron? WTF!

What kind of joke is this? Bergeron for a 7th? Teams were overpaying for defensemen and Yzerman couldn't even get a 5th for Bergeron?

Thats what I said about the 7th rounder. 7th rounders are the new 1st rounders. Get 5 of them, one of them is likely to be in the minors within 10 years and you might call them up eventually. Its all in his plan

Obvious sarcasm...

And Im one of the ones that liked him, gave it his all every shift.

Ok, I can see the logic behind this. With Vinny out, we needed someone who can actually win an offensive zone faceoff. We had no more need for MAB, Sustr will be the "offensively talented but defensively questionable" D-man for the rest of the season if he stays up.

7th round draft pick? Have you seen the undrafted guys we've been signing? That's going to be good as gold

Until it's reported otherwise, I'm going to assume MAB returned both Staals.

Return is Hall and a 7th

Hall must feel like he's being trolled. Hope he didn't sell his house in Tampa!

So we are trying to make the playoffs, and catch Carolina, and then send them MAB to help them out for a 7th. I get it.

I don't understand this at all. If you wanted help for Syracuse why not just move for a guy who's already in the AHL or just leave Hall in Tampa and send one of the productive kids back.

I don't at all understand moving a piece for a guy you already lost on waivers once just to turn right back around and put him on waivers again. This is gonna be a pretty bad trade if we lose Hall again. And I think we will. Good faceoff vet for free heading into the deadline?

I guess I don't understand why anyone is upset. Had we traded MAB for a useful AHLer and a 7th, nobody would have batted an eye, but since the useful AHLer is a guy we've had, now it's baffling?

Hall has been a very good AHLer for us in the past, and the Crunch could use some forward help. And we cleared out MAB's spot for young guys, which I think pretty much everyone wanted. It's a unique return, but by no means a bad result.

Who cares about what you got for him, why give Carolina any help, that the obviously feel they needed.

Have we been watching the same Bergeron? You can post this quote anywhere you want if Bergeron ends up being the reason Carolina makes the playoffs and we miss out.

That's it, you almost got it. SFY conned Carolina into thinking MAB was an actual NHL defenseman. He's sabotaging their playoff chances, one player at a time. Stevie you magnificent *******!

So your telling me that there is NO CHANCE that MAB could make a play or score a goal on a power play that could lead to an extra Carolina win ? He would of been just fine sitting in press box here, in my opinion not worth the chance he does something to help the competition for a 7th pick.

MAB is a Trojan Horse, so SFY killed one of our div rivals' PO already. nice job imo :-)

You can improve your roster, or you can sabotage the others. Last year it was signing Antti Miettinen so that the Jets can scoop him off waivers with a 2yr/3M NTC contract

Carolina probably just needed to shred a contract, and he was the odd man out.

It's peculiar because we put him on waivers not too long ago, but other than that it's just an odd coincidence. He'll probably get waived after Thompson comes back.

Nope. Not telling you that. Telling you that I'm willing to take my chances that he's more likely to lose them a critical game than to win them one. The chances of him doing neither are way higher, anyway.

...

If MAB was traded for Future Considerations, I would have considered it a good deal. The dude sucks.

MAB is more likely to fall on their goalie's knee and cost them the Cup than he is to actually help them win it.
