Have not gone to an Islander's game without JT in the lineup since 2008-2009. He better be there, my nephew and I will be wearing our JT jerseys. In fact, got these tickets free after spending $170 on his jersey (islander's shop gives you 2 free tickets if you spend $150+).
of course we need JT, he is the team but I can't help but think if he did miss and somehow we won:
- given he gets 21+ HARD minutes every game, 4 days off to recuperate may not be a bad thing in the long haul for him in this condensed season.
- someone else needs to step up rather than, as nabby says, sit around and watch what JT is going to do
- if somehow we could win a game without him, that could jumpstart the entire team..
I thought that, then came back to reality. Please play today JT
(if he does miss and we win, I would rest Hamonic next, he is obviously playing hurt, and sometimes struggles to get off the ice noticably limping if he takes a hit to the ankle.. kid is a gamer)
