It's frustrating. Last year and coming into the season I liked our team and felt we had a strong group of players, and no real dead weight on this team. Well now the bad players are apparent. Elliott, Redden are the obvious ones, but Russell and D'Agostini are just not good and really provide nothing good out there on the ice. D'Agostini is so useless and one-dimensional (and doesn't even use that one-dimension so really he's just invisible) it's aggravating.
Russell's not playing well right now, but I've seen enough from him in the past that I'm not ready to lump him in with Redden and D'Agostini.

I'm not quite ready to give up on Elliott, either.

True. In an ideal world Russell stays as the #7 d-man and we somehow get rid of Redden. He is awful.

D'Agostini also needs to go in a trade.

My prediction for the 3rd. Blues tie in after attacking all period. Elliott lets in a softie with less than 3 minutes to go in the period. Blues lose and 5 more Trade Perron or Trade Shattenkirk threads appear.

Maybe Elliot dried his pads on high heat cause they seemed to have shrunk from last year.

After that terrible softie he let in, Ells has made a couple of very nice saves.

Yeah but Halak is still sitting in the front row isn't he? So what's the difference?

Credit Perron for single handedly turning the momentum around for the last 1:30 before the TV Timeout. Neutral zone turnover, sustained offensive zone time, and then forcing an offensive zone draw solely because of his work.

Still giving up too many rebounds or failing to direct the puck to the boards instead of juicy ones in front.

That's not a goal. It's tough to call, but I think they'll stick with the original call. Didn't look like he meant to kick it, but it could go either way.

EDIT: That's a good call. You couldn't see 100% either way.

You're not going to win turning the puck over this much.

EDIT: On cue, they end the game lol. Can't blame this loss on Elliott at all. He was hung out to dry all day.

Petro steps up into the rush and seconds later there's a two on one, extended zone pressure and a goal. He's so average this year.
