Honestly, anyone and everyone. They're all kind of the same.

Hudsons or Boston Pizza are usually pretty good spots

I've actually been wondering this myself. Went to Boston Pizza off Whyte last week. It was pretty good until a couple drunk bozos showed up acting like complete clowns for the 2nd and 3rd period of the game.

I'm interested in a place that leans towards the more quiet than rowdy. I just like to sit and watch the game. Maybe eat some chicken wings. I don't have cable, so sometimes I don't feel like watching it on the compy.

For Oilers fans that are in Vancouver, I highly recommend the Black Frog in Gastown.

A bonus is that RNH's dad watches games there from time to time. I know this because I've seen him there, once when I was wearing my RNH jersey

Agreed, I'd also add Average Joe's in there. They do a few giveaways and the food and service are good.

Not a really big fan of some of the overcrowded watering holes where the industrial workers go to get blitzed, yell loudly at everything/everyone, and start fights on the weekends, though.

Atmosphere is only really a draw in the run to the playoffs, IMO.

Give aways are nice. I've gone to O2's and you pick an Oiler's name out of a hat and win a prize if they score first (at least the one on 51st, not sure about whyte).

Also, Canadian Brewhouse can get pretty crazy, good food too.

What does O2's give away? I remember last year BP's would give away counterfeit Hall jerseys. Kind of embarrassing. But I've seen Schank's give away nice replica NFL jerseys on Monday nights, and Jox on 97th gave away some nice shirts. Most places just do beerwear or the odd beer glass. Better than nothing.

I can't stand Boston Pizza in Vancouver. Way too many underage dicks puking beer all over the floor.

Oilers jersey, don't remember anything about about it though. I think they may have given a pair of tickets once too. Although I've only been once this year, and I showed up late but my friends didn't know if they did a give away at all.

There are five O2's in Edmonton now?

Wasn't there just one a couple years ago?

I found a great place. Cold beer, many assortments, choose what you want. Food is made to order, the chef will set you up with pretty much anything you want. Bathrooms are spic and span, the host will even call you a cab...or drive you home if you are short on cash. "Party favors" can and will be supplied, and the atmosphere is customized to your taste.

Nothing beats my mancave!

I don't have a mancave, but my couch is my fav spot. Bars are nice as it's a change up, but you get the drunk bozos or I become a drunk bozo. I found you can go to small local pubs, but lots of times you then get people that don't care about hockey so the music is blaring instead of the game.

The Druid on Jasper is about exactly what you're looking for - relaxed crowd.

During games - yes, it's a relaxed atmosphere. After, on Friday/Saturday, probably best to leave if you are a person who is adverse to a more colorful crowd.

I'm going to Phoenix for a few days, anybody know a sports bar that plays Oilers' games down there, or a hockey bar?

Canadian Brewhouse.

They actually understand how to properly place TV so every spot has a decent view....this is a rarity.

Not quiet though; people get pretty into the games

Gotcha, that makes sense. I've only ever been there for weekend games and it gets really rowdy.
