Without a doubt. Sid and geno are the top 2 offensive players in the NHL bar none. I would slot stamkos in the 3rd spot for now just bc when you score that much you get the benefit of the doubt but he just like everyone else is not in that realm with those 2 yet
Agree. Stamkos is clear cut 3rd by a wide margin but Sid & Geno r head and shoulders above him
the Lightning's entire offense goes through Stamkos. sure, they still have Lecavalier and St. Louis but their offense is mostly Stamkos.
I'm not sure if this is in agreement or against it but I think against it but regardless I think that's a big part of it, he gets every scoring pop, either from St. Louis at even strength or being fed relentlessly on the pp but in the end he scores an insane number of goals given every team knows that.
To me burgundy, sure Neal is a goal scoring stud in the style of stamkos but in the end he scores less even being regularly fed from malkin and malkin and Crosby on the pp and does much less play making than the likes of Sid and geno etc
We continue to blame flukey goals and all of these games have been very similar to one another. I know these types of games happen, but why as often as they have?
Are they that similar? We haven't taken a penalty, they're not cycling on us ad nauseum, and they've made at least some kind of improvement around their own net. This is also the highest scoring team in the league. They're not carrying the play, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.
Have you been watching games the past two seasons? What about Orpik's game has been elite? You literally cannot believe players don't get complacent when they know they're going to play regardless of performance.
I was referring to elite meaning these guys as a whole are the best of the best.
Have you ever been in the locker room? Orpik may have lost a step but hes not by any means laying down. You might have some lazy players who have a lackadaisical attitude but Orpik is NOT one of them.
