Crawford has been awesome though, today he looked like he did against vancouver two years ago.
It shouldn't be too surprising that he's playing well, his rookie year was great, Second year not so much, this year he's good again. He's much more settled in this year. His post to post action today was great.

Including already today's game Hawks have 4 games over 6 days. That's crazy. We've had stretches like that before, that's what makes this streak so unbelievable. First 10 of 12 games on the road, the relentless schedule. Means much more than if this was an 82 game schedule where you have some big gaps between games. This is like a playoff schedule.

It's a mirage. You'll see in the playoffs.

I mean, how could anyone believe that a 40-game sample is more significant in gauging a move than a 6-game sample? It's ridiculous.

Odoodoo sucks and he's weighing this team down with his crappy play.

Obviously, I'd rather have those picks back. Waste of money and resources.

Oduya has been playing far better than Keith and far better than both Keith and Seabrook today. Oduya has made some amazing plays in his own end. Yes he has a few brain farts but not near as many as Keith has had so far this season. Hammy & Leddy have been by far the best two defense men so far this year. Hammy & Oduya have worked very well together and so has Leddy when with either Roszival or Brookbank.

in a draft this deep a late 2nd and 3rd round picks are obviously going to be of more immediate value than a second pairing defenseman

The Blackhawks should probably send Jonathan Ericsson a thank you card for that little delay of game penalty in the last few minutes of regulation.

The moment I saw that I pretty much knew the game wasn't going to end well for the Wings. In tight situations, it's often things like that that separate the elite teams from the middle of the pack ones.

You're confusing the Vezina with the Hart. Vezina is purely for skill, not your ability to will a crappy team into the playoffs. Jon Quick would have run away with it last year if it was.

Not sure if serious... The NHL draft is a crapshoot. I'd rather have someone contributing now, then later. This team is in its prime.

What an outstanding effort! One of the best games we played all year and Detroit was dialed in too. WOW...I need until Tuesday to come down after that one!

Preds fan here and while I think Rinne is a great goaltender, Crawford is playing lights out this year. Also Kane is just a freakin beast.

The amazi.g reality is. ..so many 1 goal decing games in our streak..the more this goes on, the more detdrmined opposing teams are trying to end it..so it seems we are facing teams bringing "A" level compete and with goalies thinking they are Vezina Trophy material. ..no lazy nights in off mode ...so no laughers or 6-4 pad the stats games for our vaunted possession offense...rather lots of close calls..but we somehow persist..and the streak goes on...

Too bad for Ericsson because he had a great game up to that point.

Benefited the Hawks there but I've hated that rule since it was instated.

Wings fan here in peace. Nice win, you guys look like the team of destiny this year. Ericcson helped you out but you still had to put the puck in the net. Amazing how you are finding ways to win the close ones and your goalies have been stellar. Cheers

Sad to miss most of the game on the tube, though I listened to most of it on my iPhone and was able to catch the OY and shootout, so there's that.

If Chicago plays the rest of its games at an average NHL team pace (.56 winning %-its above .500 because of ties), it will finish with 70 points, or a pace of 120 points over a full season.

70 points gives us about a 67% chance of getting the #1 seed based on sports club.

The Ducks are the only team in sight, and their goal differential suggests that they are not quite a good as they appear.

Oduya is terrible, always coughs the puck up, leads the team in turnovers..he's definitely not a 2nd pairing Dman even on a bad team. Why did the Hawks trade for and sign this guy..huge mistake.
