Is there any word on whether they plan to bring back Smythe, Adams, Patrick, and Norris?

The whole playoff picture would look like this:

1. Canadiens - 40 pts
1. Penguins - 38 pts
2. Bruins - 37 pts
3. Senators - 32 pts
2. Hurricanes - 31 pts
3. Devils - 31 pts
4. Maple Leafs - 31 pts
5. Red Wings - 29 pts

Habs/Wings
Pens/Leafs
Bruins/Devils
Sens/Canes

Pens/Wings
Bruins/Sens

Did I get that right?
Not really ...

The teams finishing second and third in each division will play in the first round of the playoffs. The winners of each series will play for berths in the conference championship series.

So, 2nd Boston and 3rd Ottawa, would be playing in the 1st round..and 2nd Carolina would play against 3rd NJD ... it should stay in division ... and then winners of each division would play in conference finals ...that's how I got it !

Okay, so let's say it happens this way:

Habs/Wings
Pens/Leafs
Bruins/Sens
Canes/Devils

Wings
Pens
Bruins
Devils

So the Conference Semis woule be:

Wings/Bruins
Pens/Devils

Or how are the seedings after the 1st round determinded?

That's my understanding .. it was explained on nhl.com like this, then they edited the article and that part is missing now.

It's in division, then two divisional champs play conference finals. Hope I'm right LOL.

Chicago defeats Columbus in the shootout. 11 straight wins for the Hawks vs. Columbus.

He's having an amazing year. 10 wins while Nashville struggles to score. He's a workhorse.

Rangers lose to the Jets. I'm watching MSG and looking forward to Tortorella's post game interview.

Bad loss for them. Who will Torts blame this time?

God only knows; I was curious to know what's going on the with the team so I browsed the Rangers Postgame thread and they're all calling for Tort's head. Seems they want Lindy Ruff to replace him.
Should make Saturday interesting for us. I wonder if they come out motivated or defeated.

Torts just called out the entire team the other night and they all came out flat. Should be an interesting game. Would love to see the Pens sink them some more in the standings.

No doubt; if we can continue our ways they'll need cops on all the bridges in NYC. Ranger fans are ready to end it all.

Best part about this is obviously the fact Stamkos and St. Louis were kept off the score sheet.

Torts' approval rating has taken a complete nosedive among us.

I want him gone, but it wouldnt happen right now.

This team has tuned him out and his shtick is old.

Watch Torts and Lavs both get fired this summer and Torts ends up in Philly. At that point he will cease being entertaining, even on rare occasions. This fanbase will never know a more seething hatred, than the day Torts coaches the Flyers.
