something to feel good about

“We’re not going to go away,” said Alfredsson, vowing this team would continue its push toward a top-eight finish. “We’re going to give everything we can to keep it going.”

However the second half plays out, MacLean believes “the growth of our organization through adversity has been outstanding.
We should be proud of this team. I believe they are playoff bound.

Scotiabank Place was booming last year in the playoffs. If they can repeat and make it this year, wow. Scotiabank Place would explode, especially knowing all the adversity this team has been through.

Early to start talking about the playoffs. Big four points over the next two games. Two teams we will be fighting with to make the playoffs. Hopefully we can take the four points and get out in a solid position.

I said playoffs last year during the preseason. I am just going to stick with my prediction. If I am wrong you can come at me then.

56 points should guarantee a playoff spot.
We're halfway there at the halfway point of the season. So definitely are in the running.

53 points would be the equivalent of the tradition "92 point for playoffs".

When the injuries hit, I wanted Alfredsson traded. But with our team still competitive every night, he may as well stay and give it one last shot.

I wish there was some faint hope Karlsson and Cowen could return though..

I was there too. Probably one of my all time favorite sens games. The feeling in the building as the sens came back was incredible, especially since after the year those pesky sens had you could feel it was coming.

We have been pretty lucky so far this season, we have seen a lot of backup goalies & some of the teams we have met were missing some of their best players wehn we played them. I assume that the second half of the season most teams will be playing their number one goalie more often against us. And teams will be playing much better in the second half of the season, should be tougher but we are also starting to get some players back. Should be interesting.
