He was useless. I don't care about his defensive game, he's not here for his defensive game. Like you said, he doesn't want to do his job. He should definitely leave.
He's a dependable player and exactly the kind of LW that you want on your fourth line in the playoffs. Not flashy, maybe lacking in terms of energy (looks a bit slow) but we have finally have four bottom six players (Prust, Moen, White, Armstrong) that work hard and play honest games. I like those players where they are. The alternative is having Weber, etc on the fourth line. You don't want to go there.
But yes, Moen needs to pick up the agression before he drifts into Darche territory. He's a good player to have nestled away in your bottom six though.
Can someone explain to me how the refs missed the blatant cross check by Horton on subban that knocked the net off? Or the high stick on pacioretty near the end? I mean it happened right where the puck was so what were the officials watching?
Anyways, time for me to eat crow for questioning the budaj start. Its a nice seed of doubt to plant into the bruins that they couldn't get the job done at home against the backup
TBH, I think why the Bruins get the benefit of the doubt is because of a phenomenon called "anchoring." They do play very tough hockey, and because of it, when they just creep over the line, the thought is "they're just playing tough hockey." They shift the expectation of the refs by playing close to the line, but generally within boundaries. It's actually pretty smart.
He skated across the ice, cross-checked the guy, and punched him while he was down. in the real world, that's assault. people, even habs fans, were saying pacioretty had reason for his hit when the puck was there.
Seriously, though. That was one tight game. We won by a goal. We had a 5 on 3 and could not score. Bruins look a lot stronger on the boards. We need something extra.
It would be nice to have Rene Bourque in the lineup. And I don't condone the Bruins style of paly, but they stick up big time for their goalie. If we could find a big defenceman that isn't a ****ing moron, I'd be all for it.
I'd like O'Byrne back as I don't think he'd cost much and he adds needed size to the blueline while being a UFA this summer, clearing the way for Tinordi next year. He's also a good human being and has both class and character, while meshing well with many past teammates on the Habs.
