Apparently this person has already been on the station here and there as a reporter, so now they are giving her a shot at a show. Normal for any station looking to fill weekend time, and practically mandatory for one desperate to find a new personality. She'll likely fail based on what I heard, but so have a lot of others in those tryout slots and they had the other type of plumbing.

You want manufactured, who gave Mike Salk his job? Guy is awful.
He is terrible. I tried to give him a shot, but every time he speaks, I want to punch him in the mouth. It's like a person who knows jack about Boston sports who was given a copy of the Globe sports section who he then pronounces himself to be an expert, and condescends towards everyone who calls in to tell him he's wrong. I can't even listen to his nonsense on Felger and Mazz breaks.

I've heard very little of him - mostly in the car on my way to work - but when he said Matt Cooke wasn't in the top 10 of Boston sports villians because "Marc Savard wasn't beloved in this town" I wanted to reach into the radio and strangle him.

No No I wasn't going after you at all for that comment. I don't have a problem with people calling them clowns cause they are. They do often go for the comedy act but they also have some semi-decent interviews and generally the experts seem to really like their comedy style, its relaxing for many not to have to deal with being grilled with questions that don't need to be addressed at 7a.m.

Peter Gammons definitley enjoys the joking around and talks music with Fred every time, while providing awesome insight on the MLB/Sox. Basically what I am trying to say is that both D&C and T&R can be subject to the "clown" label, just two completely different types of clowns.

I generally try not to go after people on these boards that have earned enough respect in my book.

Agreed. I like their interview style most of the time, but they need a willing participant for their guest. A guy like Chiarelli that hardly ever buys into their humor doesn't make for an interesting interview. Aaron Ward, Shawn Thornton though, excellent. Brandon Scott from Incubus is the exception

For those of you who didn't catch it this morning, here is the interview T&R did with Ed Donohue, the brother of Richard Donohue. Well worth the listen.

The link above was his 2nd time calling in. He was on T&R on Friday and here is that interview. Again, well worth the listen. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/04/2...utely-awesome/

Just basing it on timing. Think about it... they're losing the ratings war, and suddenly decide to give a show to two women, one of whom was terrible as a "flash" girl?

Just seems a little too forced to me.

(maybe saying giving in to the PC police was the wrong phrase - more like pandering, I guess)

And Salk is terrible... hopefully he doesn't take Holley down with him.

I'm pretty sure that was sarcastic. Mazz then said they should just have a skills competition to determine Stanley Cup winner then.

I think they were both responding to a call

Bruins averaged a 7.0 this year
