I see GSP vs. Nick going a lot like Bendo's recent win over Nate because there are a lot of similarities in those respective fighters.

Same. The size difference between Bendo and Nate is similar to that of GSP and Nick. I'd say Nick's boxing is better than Nate's but Nate's ability to fight off his back is better than Nick's and that's where the majority of his fight against GSP is going to occur. Basically what I'm saying is that I feel Nate's chance of beating Bendo was greater than Nick's beating GSP, and Nate got owned.

GSP has gotten a bit marked up in some of his fights, so I honestly think Diaz's best chance of winning is a cut stoppage accumulated from 3 or 4 rounds of jabs and elbows. But is it likely? No.

Nick's best chance to win is developping a Lidell-like takedown defense in the next week.

I'm predicting a similar fight to Benson-Baby D as well. A lot of pretend 'dirty boxing'/Hugging against the fence, then a take down at 2:32, then rides him for a 1:38, Nick escapes, to the feet, 1 jab, then back on the mat. Repeat.

I kind of agree with the Bendo/Nate comparison, and it could well go like that, but I also think that Bendo landing a big punch right to Nate's eye early in the fight (he said he could barely see after that) could have had a big effect on how that fight went over 5 rounds, Nate didn't look very good at all in that fight.

That press conference was hilarious. The bit about the soccer mom - "WE'RE IN ****ING LODI *****" - had me in stitches but at the same time I can see where he's coming from.

Think this is the first Montreal card I miss seeing in person.

GSP please win.

Lol Mike Ricci being on a main card of a PPV. I get he's a Montreal guy and everything, but bleh.

I can't wait for Cruickshank/Makdessi. Won't be surprised at all if Makdessi wins, but Cruick's kick won me over with him.

Didn't hear the quote but as someone who has lived in NorCal my entire life, I get why Nick is angry at the world. I would be too if I lived in Lodi/Stockton. Stockton is truly an awful awful place.

"I pull up to a stop light the other day and some 40-year-old lady, some soccer mom, sticks her head out the window and she's like, I hope GSP beats your ass!' "We're in ****ing Lodi, b----! We were in Lodi right now and you hope GSP beats my ass. That's ****ing wonderful. I'm living in a f-----g small town full of people that hate me over here. Im trying to work my way up into a fight, and Im the most disrespectful guy and deserve to have the s--- beat out of me? When you say something, everybody believes it, dude. Everybody wants to know what Georges thinks and what Georges says and wants to wear tight shorts like Georges and forget about jiu-jitsu and boxing.

His rant on GSP getting pampered was the best part of the conference call. Calling himself the "superhero of anti-BS" was pretty good too.

This isn't Nick promoting himself either, everything he says he means. It's why I like him.

i lived semi near there in martinez and know lodi is tiny. stockton is an old poor run down city with a racetrack. not much going on at all and i would wonder why the fight camp doesnt move and try to attract more top end talent if nobody wants to go out there. hell they could move to sf amd get more people i presume.

Let's be fair - both cities are utter ****holes.

That's kinda sad that a Lodi resident would do that to their "local hero". I don't get why Nick doesn't just move. I know he used to train in Concord, which isn't a great city itself but it sure as hell is better than Stockton. He's got the money and I'm sure Cesar Gracie's camp would do well regardless of where it moved to.

Yeah I am not a fan of the brothers but Nick was just being honest and I kind of felt bad for him too. **** Nate though.
