A game I get to watch! First one in two weeks!

I'm expecting more 80's hockey especially against a team like Tampa. So no defense, barely any goaltending and last shot probably wins.

Nice job on the GDT Fredrick!

Memo to Stamkos and Sid: there's no I in team.
In all seriousness, it's been fun watching these two battle for the league lead in points.

If the D shows up, Fleury shuts the explosive Lightning down. LGP

Why does every damn Pens game have to be on National TV?

They're a popular team and Sidney Crosby is the best player in the game.

If Montreal scored 6 goals I shudder to think what TB's big guns on a good day would do to the Pens with a similar defense

23 games into the season and I still haven't figured out the connection between professional hockey and folk music...

Why does there need to be a connection?

we're now going around calling Okkervil River folk music? the unabated erosion of genre continues.

Because the NHL hates Steigy and wants to make him pay.

The erosion of genre happened...I don't even know what to call things anymore.

Wikipedia lists Okkervil River as indie rock, alt-country, and folk rock. The truth requires putting those three in a blender and hitting '4'.

true enough. genre is a lost cause in this day and age. i might add 'indie-folk' to the mix for another variation on a theme. sister-band Shearwater seems closer to 'indie-rock'. still 'folk-music' is by far the least appropriate of these options - i still think of the Harry Smith anthology when i hear that term.

as I do with most of Big's music, I would classify it as "mediocre" regardless of the genre
