Lubo out is going to hurt.. Really could use A-Mac/hammer to step up and play solid.

Since I do the GDT a night before, I go by websites that predict line combos by ice time/last game/reports. It's obvious that after morning skates staple will have the most up-to-date idea of what the true lineups will look like.

I should put a disclaimer in describing how lineups are subject to change.

Visnovsky apparently headed back to Slovakia to attend to a family tragedy. Scheduled to be back by the weekend. #Isles

Regardless of his past with us tragedies happen so unless we hear more info on the subject or if he starts refusing to come back I'm not going to get on him.

Really hope everything is ok with Lubo and his family. Despite the whole saga that happened this summer, he genuinely seems to like it here. Has been giving it all since he's joined the team.

Not to make light of the situation if it is in fact some kind of tragedy (hope all is okay with Lubo and his family), it just figures this would happen this week when we have a HUGE game against the Rags on Thursday. No way we are going to win (likely either of) these games with the defense we are sending out there.

It's too bad about Visnovsky, I hope everything is ok. Despite all the drama, he's come to LI and played well. We haven't heard anything negative at all from him since he took the ice.

Without him this week, it's going to be a tough. Montreal, Rangers, Caps, and then Pittsburgh. Ouch.

Family tragedy for Vis? I'm sorry to read that.

As for the team...time's slipping by. Let's see the isles fight their way back to .500, winning the next 2.

Let's go Isles

Just a idea i will throw out there..Why not Bailey instead of Franz on the PP? Franz seems hesitant to shoot where Bailey i think is a better scoring threat and he is sound both ways as well.

Maybe something like this: PP1 Moulson/JT/Boyes/Bailey and Streit
PP2 Franz/Okposo/Martin/MacDonald and Hammer

Give MM a try to basically do what the other MM does and hang in font of the net (see Prust and Clarkson)

Frans is a very good hockey player but should not see the ice in an offensive role. Cappy speaks so highly of him, and I can see why, but he's got no offense in his game.

Bailey's far better than Frans offensively.

Bailey has 3 ES points in 12 games, Frans has 4 ES pts in 22 games. Stats aside, the eyes tell the same story.

Moulson - Tavares - Martin
Grabner - Bailey - Boyes
Ullstrom - Nielsen - Okposo

Let's try something NEW Cappy!

frans carries the puck better than Bailley. Bailey has better hands, but they come in flashes of brilliance as opposed to day in day out skill.

I am sure if you check the stats that Frans carries the puck into the opposition zone far more than Bailey does. I am sick of the constant dump and chase this team does.

Interesting note for tonight. The Canadiens are 3 goals aways from #20,000 in their history. Lets keep them below three tonight.

It was one goal... Your not watching if you can't see he's easily been the most solid D-man on this team every night and has been giving it 100% without opening his mouth.

Thats the big number. Keep a team under 3 and you are in win territory...

That being said...4-1 Habs. Therrein has done well with this team.

I see a big losing streak on its way...

Viz leaving could force Snow to not rade Striet at the deadline....? OI hope Viz comes back, also I think its time for Donovan to get some real NHL time...
