Canucks had this problem for years. Used to play down to their opponents level instead of bringing the same effort every game. I swear to god we could never, ever beat St. Louis when they were bottom of the basement.
Stating the obvious, but this team isn't going anywhere until we find a way to fix that.
There is still lots of time to turn this game around... however, if we are going to be a terrible team, I hope we make that decision soon (from an organizational standpoint) so at the very least we can turn it into Nathan MacKinnon. Being terrible and stumbling to Hunter Shinkaruk would be disappointing.
That's my biggest fear with this team. I honestly can't see this group of players making the playoffs, but I can see them getting somewhat close and screwing themselves out of a legit top 3 forward. Then we'll have to keep pretending Little and Wheeler are first liners.
