The quality of play by the Oilers is also depressing, so perhaps there is a correlation.

most people who are down right now, I think are being fair. They do acknowledge the growing pains with young players in regards to their roles and their varied pace of development so far.

but I also think they have expressed fair concern the level of play and compete shown by the players on the ice. It is also fair to question the quality and fit of the vets and supporting players put forward by the team.

It's a discussion board, not a self esteem support group. When the Oilers show a better quality of play, there will be more positive responses from persons on this site. simple.

I'll believe that when I see it. This board b**ches incessantly after wins.

Because we don't fall for false hope after a victory when we are outshot and outplayed for 55 mins.

at the end of the day, its still just a game and shouldn't affect people's mood as much as it is.

That's dumb.
Dallas game was a solid game that we played start to finish.
We out hit them, out shot them, beat them in F/O's, and in blocked shots.

I did not complain about that one at all.

I mean moreso the Chicago game where we got a point or the last game against the BJs.

We are not just your average hockey fans
This is a hockey forum I'm on my cell phone driving to school while discussing hockey on said forum
So yeah whether or not the oilers win does effect my mood, to some degree
That being said I don't go nuts when we lose like many did last loss

Going WAY out on a limb for tonight's prediction. 7-2 Oilers (not joking).

I say 4 2 oilers... and mike brown gets in a exciting scrap.. after the fight he rips his jersey off hulk hogan style.. and starts flexing, while "i am a real American" plays in the arena

Hall and Eberle In

Smyth will go to the second line, Yak the third, MPS will get a pat on the back and a bag of popcorn with tambos face on it in the pressbox

The problem with PRV is that soon we won't be able to send him down even if we want to. I think he has something like 8 games left?

Lennart Petrell and Chris VandeVelde doing extra skating after practice. They are out tonight. Smyth will centre Eager and Brown.

VV should go back to OKC if this is the case.

Edit:Jack Michaels ‏@EdmontonJack
Hall-RNH-Hemsky. Paajarvi-Gagner-Eberle. Jones-Belanger-Yakupov. Eager-Smyth-Brown.

Play him until the end of the road trip and make your decision then.

Not a chance in hell that happens!

We win tonight, the complaint will be we didn't win, we just lost less than the other team. This happens more often than not when we win.

Look at the Dallas game last week as a perfect example.

According to Oilers twitter: Three other #Oilers forward lines tonight will be Paajarvi-Gagner-Hemsky, Hall-RNH-Eberle, Jones-Belanger-Yakupov

Edit: I was beaten to it.

They do not.
Which means they should address it, because the Belanger experiment is long over.
Yak and Jones could actually make a decent line with a quicker, smarter center.
