This is a must win. A loss tonight and we're 2 points from 15th in the west. I'm sick of being the laughing stock of the league.
Enter on his Nazgul? He is a Nazgul. That Dragon-like thing he rides is a Fellbeast. Some people...

Other than perhaps Smyth at centre I like these line combinations.

So much negativity. We're only four points out of the playoffs and...oh, who in the hell am I kidding. Let's just put some effort in and not lose to the worst team in the league.

Damn it!

I haven't seen LOTR in years. Stupid Fellbeast.

Anyway, I demand he enter the arena in one of those.

From an effort perspective I'd have the Jackets ahead of us and the Panthers. The Jackets have been to three straight OT games and scored 3 goals against the Blackhawks in one of those contests. If the Oilers bring the same effort level that they brought against the Blues and the Wild the Jackets are going to throttle us.

Keep in mind the Panthers don't have Stephen Weiss anymore and Theodore is injured... That has to be the worst NHL team bar none.

The clash of two juggernaughts who will reign supreme for suck.

It's going to be tough for the Oilers playing the AHL team know as as the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Will our heros fInally take a stand against being in last place in the conference?

I think they will with a 2-1 win.

I'm assuming the latter is accurate, gotta say I prefer the former though. RNH and Eberle need some more time off from each other.
The correct lines as confirmed by Coach K.

Hall-Nuge-Hemsky
Paajarvi-Gagner-Eberle
Yak-Belanger-Jones
Eager-Smyth-Brown

Smid-Petry
Schultz-Schultz
Peckham-Whitney

Dubnyk

Top line looks deadly.

3-2 Oilers. Brown gets 3 big hits to the point Boll with drop them with Eager.... That's right.

let's have a night like a good Barons one, when the kids would tear some bunch of scrubs a new one. the team outside them isn't really big of an upgrade over what they had in OKC so that's not going be a problem, and also the opposition is basically AHL with 3-4 decent players. nothing that they hadn't done this season already.

Peckham Eager Brown... I'm betting this will be an entertaining game.

Just have a hunch both teams are going to bring it and this will be one of the better games to watch all season.

Those that choose to stay away thinking this is another **** game between two losers (well it admittedly is )... will be dissapointed to miss this because I think both teams will be playing hard with something to prove.

Columbus got robbed last time these 2 played and will want revenge and the Oil played poorly with little drive or heart last game and I think they'll rebound from that effort.

On paper this game looks like crap... on the ice I think it's going to be an entertaining game.

I'm liking the line up. Eager and Brown should be fun to watch.

5-1 Oil. Book it.

What, you mean Yakupov - Belanger - Jones?

Or I could list it centre first, like Lowetide does.

Belanger - Yakupov - Jones.

Is that better?

Yakupov and Belanger, that's a natural duo there.

With that fourth line I picture big hits on the forecheck followed by Smytty picking up the puck behind the net and trying his patented wrap-around. I might just turn the game off for 30 seconds though if that line ends up in the defensive zone and just hope when I turn the game back on they haven't been scored against.

I'd rather see Belanger and Smyth trade places. Unless Yakupov's been told to just ignore Belanger when he has the puck on the Jackets' side of center.

Assumptions are for ********

Thanks for the clarification. And I agree with Gord, I have wanted to see that top line for quite some time now.

I like those lines... I think Belanger needs to be with Yaks because Yaks is a defensive liability still.

This should actually be an interesting game! I'm glad RNH and Ebs are split up... Hemsky will do well on the top line I think. Ebs and Gags will get too cutesy with their passes I'm afraid.
