Marcel Goc to the Leafs

What would it take? Is he available?

Not sure if the leafs will want to match Bozak's salary demands. We will need a stop gap/experiment type player. This will allow us to develop and potentially hit in UFA.Goc is a utility guy that does well in almost every situation. Not great. Ive seen him on PP and PK. Maybe Kessel can spark something as hes done with Lupul, JVR and Bozak (who is overachieving).

He doesn't exactly set the pulse racing. If we need an extra forward, which we don't seem to at the moment, just bring someone up from the Marlies.

I can't see Tallon being too eager to trade off Goc.

Serviceable #2, I know lol, is a good 2 way forward, good #3 center, that is signed cheap for one more year.

With Weiss on an off year, and being an UFA, and only having Goc and Shore signed for next year, we need to keep some NHL ready centers.

I would say he could be expendable only really after next year begins and we keep Weiss/replacement and Bjugstad sticks in the big show, Goc could be trade-able.

jmo.

Anyways, ignoring all of that, what could the Leafs offer?

I'd try and make it a hockey deal, but:

Grabovski for Goc + Bjustad/2nd/ Howden/Trocheck

I don't follow Floridas prospects closely so I dont know if any of those guys are untoucheable (Bjustad0, completely understand if they are.

Unfortunately with Weiss' injury, they need every center they already have. So unless you're trading 2 centers back in return, it doesnt make much sense.
