If we could get Drouin, I'd give jake Gardner. Especially since we have Reilly in the system.

thats an interesting idea
i could definitely see them doing something around gardiner as long as they don't have the top pick. Jones is just to good and a D

I'd move Gardiner for Mackinnon, Drouin, Barkov, maybe Nichushkin, monahan+

Are you referring to Danny Dekeyser?

Florida Panthers ready to sell

http://www.ottawasun.com/2013/03/09/...-ready-to-sell

Quote:
With the exception of centre Jonathan Huberdeau, defenceman Erik Gudbranson, goalie Jakob Markstrom and centre Drew Shore, pretty much every player on the Florida roster is up for grabs as the Panthers try to shed some cash.

Sources say the top name being dangled is right winger Kris Versteeg, but if he gets moved it will take a big financial commitment. The 26-year-old has $4.4 million cap hit through the 2015-16 season and he has been hampered by injuries.
Quote:
THIS and THAT

Columbus GM Jarmo Kekalainen is getting the lay of land, but he's also working the phones trying to clean up the mess left behind by Scott Howson. Sources say Kekalainen has been offering up centre Brandon Dubinsky and his $4.2 million cap hit through 2014-15 around the league. Acquired in the Rick Nash deal by Howson, Dubinsky hasn't been a liability he just makes too much money and Kekalainen doesn't have any ties to the deal ... Will Jarome Iginla stay or will he go? Calgary GM Jay Feaster hasn't dangled the veteran winger, but league spies confirm he has held talks with more than one team to see what he might fetch. If the Flames make this deal they aren't going to hit a home-run. "He can still contribute," said a league executive.
Quote:
RUMOURS DU JOUR

After centre Ryan Getzlaf signed an eight-year, $66 million deal Friday, the speculation about the future of right winger Corey Perry was in a full flight. Here's the deal from the column that told you weeks ago Getzlaf was staying: If GM Bob Murray is to deal Perry at the deadline, he wants a king's ransom. The asking price is a No. 1 pick, two top prospects and a player who can help the Ducks right now. Translation: Doubtful Perry goes anywhere and the Ducks will try to convince him to stay. If he moves, he'll come East. The Senators, Bruins, Penguins and Leafs will all show interest. None are expected to pay that price ... Don't expect Leafs GM Dave Nonis to mess with a good thing. Toronto has excellent chemistry under coach Randy Carlyle which means neither centre Tyler Bozak nor left winger Clarke MacArthur -- both UFA's -- likely won't be going anywhere. Nonis has indicated to teams that have called he doesn't have much interest in dealing either. If teams want to talk about defenceman John-Michael Liles and defenceman Mike Komisarek, both wealthy scratches, that's a different story ... If anybody has an interest in Carolina left winger Jussi Jokinen give Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford a call, he's willing to listen. Jokinen has one year left at $3 million.

Yes, that was the name thank you and Podium for the link. I wonder if Andrej Sustr would be interested in living in Toronto instead of something like Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. I know nothing about him except that old saying you can't teach size. Anyone know anything about Giancarlo Iuorio? Local kid may want to play close to home.

Garrioch
I agree Chuck, I know I've said a few things and the next thing you know, a day or two later, almost word for word it appears in the Papers.

Perhaps Bruce Garrioch has an account with HF Boards, or someone feeding him information does.

no one would give up that price..oh and if nonis says to clubs bozak is not available wow he needs a reality check...if i see one more season of bozak as our first line center as much as like nonis that will show to me he's not that good of a GM..i really hope he trades for stastny..we can scratch monahan lindholm as centers for our future as we're not going to pick top 15..so i can't see other solutions for us at the center position

Kinda hope Nonis opens a spot on the left side by trading Gunnarsson for a RH defenseman.

Isn't it business as usual for bottom feeders to sell at the deadline???

I have a feeling Tambo's term with the Oil is coming to it's end.... I wonder if he tries to make some moves to try and save his job?

MPS? Gagne?

regarding Perry any above average fan can figure out the price... It will be of the Kovalchuk ilk... That simple really..

u think so?

good player BUT he still has 3 years left at 7.1M

The Wings might look at him to fill the hole by NL on the left side but after that i cant see many other fits...

Have to try Kadri with Kessel before overpay for a 1st. line center.

Gardiner, Kulemin and 2nd. rounder
for
Letang

Peter Mueller or Shawn Matthias, may be of interest to some teams, they are supposedly keeping, Jonathan Huberdeau and Drew Shore but if everyone else is available, Mueller and Matthias, are pretty good, younger centers, that the Panthers could deal, both are RFA's after this season and they may want more bucks, than Florida wants to pay.

Don't really want Letang. Injury prone.

We need some one suited to play the big minutes with Dion, and let Rielly run the 2nd pairing.

Also: What would it cost to get Versteeg back? MacArthur +? Versteeg - Kadri - Frattin sounds ultra nasty right now.

Still have to deal surplus D and surplus F this season

Maybe just picks and package them with our 1st to move up much higher in draft..

I'd don't agree with that at all.

Kessel and Kadri are the creative center pieces of those two lines.

You want two creative offensive lines.

Put in Grabovski and get back Sutter.

Grabovski, Kulemin, Gardiner and a 2nd for Sutter and Letang?

The last thing we need to do is trade for another O winger.

sign a free bee, ok maybe, but trade for one, no thanks.

Doubt that Letang would be moved out right now, he's looking like a threat for the Norris.

Agreed with this. Its like Boston with their top two lines, thats what we should be aiming to do.

Give Kadri two wingers that aren't afraid to get dirty, I'd honestly say Lupul and Frattin, then Kessel and JvR and look for an upgrade at center, maybe it is Stastny. That's a solid top six.
