Kyle Beach
Niklas Hjalmarsson

I like, from your list, Douglas Murray.
The problem with your list is that it's a group of player still under contract next year and are good. The big problem is they are mostly on contenders who will be buyers and not sellers come deadline.

Beach, Boll, and maybe Bickell could be had and at a reasonable price.

Interesting point here is that Stallberg and Bickell are UFA after this year and CHICAGO is in a heap of trouble with their salary cap for next year. Add in that MB worked in CHI system for years so there is a connection there.

One other thought...at end of season teams can do their final buyouts ..maybe TampaBay buys out Vinny and he can finish his career in MTL for $1M per

Id give a lot for David Clarkson at trade deadline or throw him a big contract during the offseason. One of the best power fowards in the game.

No chance the Devils let him walk. They have plenty cap room and I'm sure they learned from their mistake last year with Parise

theres nothing to learn about, some players just wanna leave.Maybe Clarkson wants to play for a bigger organisation with actual fans and a rich history if he likes the city and the team he will stay,if not he will hit free agency knowing plenty of other teams will match NJD's offer or pay more.

Yea but Clarkson has publicly said that he owes Lou Lamoriello alot for giving him a chance at the NHL. I doubt he leaves the Devils but you never know.

I'm sure Parise made similar comments.

Chicago has 4.6 mil in cap hit and only need 5 players signed. They may buy out Olesz or Frolik just to create a bit more space, but the guys they have to re-sign are mostly depth guys(Emery Kruger Mayers Stallberg Bickell Leddy Roszival) so they don't need 20 mil to maintain their current roster.

I can't see TB spennding all that money to get rid of Lecavalier. As much as his contract is an albatross, and probably the worst in hockey once Gomez is bought out, it would cost too much to buy him out then replace him. It creates a cash flow issue more than a cap issue since they usually can't afford to spend to the cap.

Clarkson would be a solid addition, but a lot of his offense is dependant on linemates as most of his goals are of the Holmstrom "garbage goal" variety. I think if he gets to UFA stats and his price is a dime over 4 mil/year you take a pass. Committing 4-5 years and 5 mil a year to a guy like him would quickly turn into a bad contract.

As for Clarkson wasn't he a walk on with New Jersey? Lou was the only one to take a chance on him..

Still want Brian Boyle.

6"7, 244lbs center, that plays on the PK.

Perfect fit for the Habs. He'd be great on our 4th line. He's having a tough season, it's our chance to grab him. Boyle for Moen would be great.

We would be even softer.

Moen can drop them from time-to -time.

That's what I was proposing, the salary is pretty much the same, I think 150 000$ difference for Moen and he is signed 3 more years compared to Boyle who has 1 year left after this. Boyle is also 3 years younger

so ? if clarkson leaves u think that would be the first time a player leaves the team that gaved him hes first chance in the NHL ? you dont think hes agent will be pumping him up about how much money he can make in the free agency.Like i said,if he loves the organisation he will stay,if not he will do like every other UFA does in the off season and sign with a new team for a big overpaid contract.i Mean the guy has the power to decide where to play, maybe he loves Lou,the city & and the team and will resign but maybe hes patiently waiting for the free agency to open so he can get hes new big contract, who knows right ? one thing i can promise you,is that he wont go on TV saying he cant wait for the off season to come.

He might not be the best fighter but I like his size and versatility. Great on the PK, he can score some goals. 32 goals combine in his last 2 seasons.

I think Perry will test the market

Getzlaf has a GF from there, lives there year round and just started a family. Different from Perry who I can see going after more money

Rumor of 8.25 M for Getzlaf. No way that the Ducks pay Perry. He will test the market IMO.

Nope.

He scored 21 goals 2 years ago and 11 last year.

He has 0g, 1 assist this season but his value is as his lowest so its our chance.
