The thing is though the Datsyuk you see now was a LONG time in the making.
Nuge is miles ahead at the age of 19, bad while I'm not content with the coach or management right now, it takes time to be great.
Nuge is great, but lets be honest. He doesn't possess the top-end skill or hands of a Datsyuk. Nor do I see him ever getting that deceptive strength. He's very similar to Datsyuk in style, but he'll top off at Backstrom in terms of efficacy (not a bad thing).
As for your argument re: Nuge>Dats at the same age, relax.
Pav was in Europe at that age. Even when he entered the NHL he was playing on that HHOF-team of 01-02 Cup glory. He was a fourth liner that still managed 0.5 point/game with <13min a night and zero high-end offensive minutes. Hell, he was on a shut-down line.
