Patrick Sharp

Is it just me or has he been invisible this year? I'm not sure if its because our other stars are all shining or what, but I don't even notice him on the ice anymore.

Nobody wanted to trade him in offseason. Could have received a nice haul for both him and Bolland.

He's been unimpressive so far..but it's early in the season so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

He'll wake up. He always goes invisible a few games at a time only now he's invisible on the scoring sheet and playing poorly all around. Still a huge trade asset though.

Sharp is always this way. He's a sniper who can score timely goals, and if we don't get him the puck often enough in the offensive zone he will struggle.

He's looked like ass for good stretches so far.. but he's still sitting on 7 points. Hard to complain. He will wake up soon I think.

He was very good up until the the Columbus game. I don't know if he's slightly hurt or what, but he's been a turnover machine and has just been stuggling in general. He'll get it turned around though.

it makes me happy to know that Brouwer has more goals so far than Sharp....thats sarcasm of course, but Sharpie needs to pick it up as a leader in the lockeroom and on the ice. this team needs its star players to be star players. its only a 48 game season, someone should tell Sharp that as he doesnt have time to go invisible this year.

He has looked pretty ba!d the last couple games, but he can still change a game with one shot. He's just not the one-man show type like kane, toews, saad, or hossa.

It looks to me like Sharp has hit the training camp wall where his body and mental focus aren't in sync right now. Same with Hossa to a lesser extent. They played well in the first 4 or 5 games but now they're fighting the puck a bit on the offensive side. The difference is Hossa is still an elite player even if he is struggling offensively because of his 2-way game. Both of those guys didn't play during the lockout and both of them get big minutes as top line players. They'll get through it and be back to normal soon.

I think the one problem with Sharpie is that Bolly has proven that he does not fit in as the 2nd line center. Bolly needs to be moved back to the 3rd line and let Shaw center the 2nd line as he and Kaner had chemistry last night. I really like Bolly but he has brought that line down and is far more suited as the 3rd line shutdown center.

This is who Sharp is. He scores goals and plays defense.

Cant pass or stickhandle that well and for every gorgeous snipe he converts he shanks a tap in. Been saying it for two years.

Its time for Sharp to move back to #2 C

I dont care if he wants to play or not (Never been confirmed if it was him or Q that ended his #2 C time)

20-19-88
25-10-81

Needs to happen

Sharp, for sure (understandably) looked very rusty in game one, had a bit of a resurgence in the next few, but still hasn't found his rythym - as is the case for many players around the league. Hossa, I think is fine and that's great news after the concussion but we can't expect him to carry the team every game.

If Bolland is indeed out and Pirri doesn't get a call-up, this is likely to happen.

Personally, I think Kane should be there as 2nd line center, but I don't think Q agrees. I also think Stalberg needs a change of lines. He's just not getting enough support on the 3rd line and his game has been disappointing to me. I expected him to come out flying with the head start he had playing overseas.

Patrick Sharp will never play centre again for the Chicago Blackhawks.

What we'll very likely see tonight is:

Saad - Toews - Hossa
Sharp - Shaw - Kane
Bickell - Kruger - Stalberg
Bollig - Mayers - Frolik

Because if Patrick Sharp was going to play centre for Chicago, it would have been last year or in 2010-11. Sharp did play centre to start the 2010-11 season, but they put him back on wing and he's barely played there since.

If they'd rather force Patrick Kane - an all-star RW - to play centre, I think that's a rather obvious sign that they would rather have Sharp on the wing/don't want him being a centre.

At the end of the day, whether Sharp doesn't want to be there or the coaching staff doesn't want to use him there.. it really doesn't matter. It's just become very obvious that we won't ever see Sharp consistently playing centre again, IMO.

I would like to Stalberg and Hossa switched and Bickell and Frolik switched.

Saad Toews Stalberg
Sharp Shaw Kane
Frolik Kruger Hossa
Bollig Mayers Bickell

The Hawks will need to do a call up or two if Bolland is out for awhile as Mayers won't be able to play every game due to his age and I don't know if I'd want Bollig playing every game. They have some young guns they could call up who are hungry to play at the NHL level.

if sharp were going to play centre we would have seen it last year rather them trying to force kane into the position or play kruger, who was currently out of his depth

That has to easily be the worst center depth in NHL

Absolutely awful
