That means you're too young to remember Gene Carr.

I've always hated hammerlick. and I write it that way because I can't type my real name for him. Another guy I never wanted on the Rangers.... ever.

Slower than an advancing glacier. I'm not sure what his niche will be, but something tells me that Roman will be the poster child of whipping boys if he gets enough minutes.

Of course, if he gets PP time and gets any of his low accurate shots to go in the net, he will be appreciated. He knows the ice not too bad, just cannot always get there.

Then they print a new jersey for masher with a different a number.

Young players rarely get say in, or care about what # they wear.

Sorry folks, but this is desperation. $3.5m for a bottom 3 defenceman - when we really really needed to use that very limited cap space to find various upgrades at forward. Bubble status confirmed.

Desperation? Hamrlik has an expiring contract. We also aren't paying him the full $3.5 million for this season. Someone had the number at around $7-8 million available at the deadline. That number will decrease a little but not much.

LOL might want to do some research there.

Today's AAV $2,749,438 — — — — — —

Who are you planning to add with a 6 million dollar cap hit?

If we want to win the Cup we need a top 6 and a top 9 forward.

No real argument from me on what you say, just a case of a new player. Hopefully people see his strengths, at least the ones I recall from the times I have seen him play, and don't go too hard on stuff like speed and jump.
I welcome the addition too.

6 min in cap space (thats without any cap space going the other way) is enough to bring in a top 6 and top 9 forward

So we need two more forwards? At what positions exactly? LW? Maybe. 1 would be enough. Sorry, but adding an expiring contract does not "reek of desperation." Adding a 6 million dollar contract would be doing just that.

And I would like to upgrade 3C, by sending Boyle the other way. So there's 1.7 mil coming off.

If we want to win the cup we need to stay healthy, get Richards on track, and have a few kids like Kreider and Thomas come up and play well.

I like this idea more. I think Hamrlik will be enough to fill out the bottom 6.

OK, I will concede we have more cap room than I expected. Though I'm still not comfortable giving up this much on a guy who will play so little, I accept that we should still be able to make some deals to at least give us a chance of going beyond the 2nd round.

In my opinion, we need a bonafide top 6 LW. I don't like what we have down the middle either; ideally we could get a 2C as well. Stepan might well become a great #2 but right now he is just an ok one, and Richards has fallen off the face of the earth.

speaking of Kreider, he has a goal in every game ( I think) since being sent back down.
