I only recommended Tilapia because it's damn near chicken in terms of how "fishy" a fish it is, if that makes any sense. Good place to start for people who aren't sure if they're really fish people. And I like Cod, especially fried with hush puppies.

But yea, Halibut with a lemon butter and mixed veggies? Yumbo. Also want to try out a blackened catfish, but I'd need to look it up. Feel like it might be a bit outside of my comfort zone.

By then a frozen pizza will do the trick.

No problem.

If you see black sea bass, give that a try. Don't get it confused with Chilean sea bass, completely different kind of fish and profile.

We used to cook Bass and Walleye after catching it in a dutch oven over a fire with potatoes and corn when camping in Wisconsin. I can't in good faith ruin my childhood by spending market prices for either.

Edit: The veggies in the oven. Bass and Walleye were cooked on a skillet, sprinkled with just Old Bay.

Fair enough from that aspect.

Also would suggest yellowfin tuna. One of my favorites, raw or just slightly seared on each side.

Probably not till the fall. We aren't moving far, but moving out of a house to a studio that is less than 1000 square feet.

A single serving 6oz piece wouldn't be too bad. Yeah, if you look at the $30/pound price, that's scary, but like I said, a small portion isn't tooooo bad. I'd rather have halibut, red snapper, or tuna anyway. Although the snapper I got last week still had pin bones in it, and I nearly choked on it.

Nice, speaking of which, my dad just gave me all of his old camping equipment. Can't wait for the summer.

Maybe Jewel just jacked up the price - as they're known to do - but we sold 6 oz portions for $12 on sale.

Everyone pisses their pants in terror at the idea of meeting up for a few drinks at a bar or going to a Wolves game, somehow I doubt the road trip will ever happen.

So yeah, that'd be about $30/pound too... Although that sucks for being at Jewel. I can get it at that price at Whole Foods here. Was actually like $27/pound last weekend there.

PM me if you want to grab a drink after work to sit and watch the Hawks. I've got a decent watering hole near where we work that serves great burgers.

Eh, it's good just not worth the price. Go Bass cheek if you're looking to drop ribeye dollars on Bass.

Or just skip Bass altogether and go Red Snapper.

Edit: Or just get a decent bone in ribeye. I am a midwestern guy at heart.

Red snapper is so underrated. So god damn good.

Once had a restaurant try to pass off tilapia as sea bass.... Seriously dudes?

Not for some people, though.

There are some people totally down to do it, but that involves the planning that no one wants to do.

Yeah, they don't even look remotely similar, at all. Cooked or uncooked... Even what they brought out was terrible. At least they comp'd it, but we haven't been back since and never will go back.

Yeah, I'd be down, I don't think we work in the same area though, I'm in Gary.

Holy ****, that looks awesome.

Honest to God, I couldn't care less about the fear factor. Everyone here is welcome to come to my place for a game sometime (soon). I need new carpet anyway so you can even wear your shoes inside if you want. It's nice too, good tv. I have a nice new bags set, big yard, two grills. I just think it would be cool to get a decent sized group together for a game and my place is open. It would be even better if I had a Chexx table but hey, it is what it is. Stones throw from I-80.
