Just something to get me through October, then I'll be switching career paths. Actually, next week is my last full regular week. After that, I'll only be working 2-3 hours a day in the office, max, and maybe come in on a Friday or Saturday for a half day or something.
Problem is, my boss = owner, so anytime he sees stuff like that he takes it way too personal. He is also the kind of guy who goes and buys stuff at Costco, and will resell it under our company name, regardless of what it is, if he can MAYBE make $5. He literally bought luggage the other day at Costco for $500, and put it on our fabric website for $475. All the guy ever does is try to make a quick buck here or there, regardless of where he is or how he can do it.
I know not all bosses are like that, but man I can't wait to get out of the office environment... The suit and tie, 9-5 BS is just not for me. Things ran so much better when he was no here the last 2 months, now he's just hovering of my shoulder and micromanaging things to death.
Not as bad as my father's gay boss ordering meetings in his hotel room.
But Ray, yeah, look for a new job if you can. There are a lot of unreasonable people in this world, and it is painfully clear your boss is one.
Oh I know... he goes back to Scottsdale after next week, and could be there for a while. When he's there I talk to him maybe 30 minutes the entire week. That, and as of April 6th I start my PT certification, so I won't be around much to see him, if I even work here at that point. That is a 9-2:30 M-Th schedule.
In October I can start personal training and ditch this place entirely, and then I'll start working on my sports science degree, and hopefully get that done over the next year. Will only have to take 25-30 credits for that bachelors. If I only had done things the way I wanted when I first went to college, rather than trying to please my dick head dad.... Oh well, better now than never.
Hotel room meetings? That's pretty creepy stuff if on a regular basis. Hotel lobby/bar, sure, nothing wrong with that. Inside the room? That is really weird unless it is some macdaddy room... but I'm expecting your basic 1 bed small economy type room.
Damn, just saw how cold it is up by you guys today. Windchill of 6, eh? Have fun with that... and to think I was *****ing about it not cracking 60 today.
Yeah, that guy doesn't work there any longer. Guy was a piece of ****. There's a lot more personal stuff that goes along with it, but we won long-term.

March in Chicago...expect the unexpected. It could either be 80 degrees or approaching negative windchill.

Saw a picture the other day of a city I want to say somewhere in Minnesota. March 18th of 2012 set a record of like 80 degrees. March 18th of 2013 set a record of like -30... Or something along those lines.

That is nuts. That's what happens in great plains/Midwest states though. Hopefully April brings warmer weather here.

Yeah, I'd never book a trip up there in the spring in advance, unless I specifically had to be up there for certain dates.
Last year the woman and I went up there in May for my sisters graduation. Kept telling her for weeks in advance how beautiful it was going to be to spend a nice spring day in Wrigley. Game day arrives, it's 22 degrees with a mist, all day long, wind chill in the single digits. 2 days later, it was 75 and sunny. Offered to take her to Wrigley again on the day it was nice, but she just punched me and told me to piss off.

Yeah, this weather blows. I only have six days until I depart for Arizona. Time to see me some spring training, hang in the warm with family, and eat so much Southwestern food.
This is my first spring break trip in awhile. I did summer vacations and Hawks trips instead. I am most excited for Cubs ST. I am seeing some of the future.
Nice, laptop got here. Even better looking than I imagined, very fast. Good so far. Keyboard looks and feels awesome, though it'll take a bit of time to get used to not having to go all the way over to the right to hit enter and backspace as this baby actually has number keys on the side, too.
But, of course, there will always be downsides. Windows 8 looks like a cluttered mess (if I wanted to be on my smartphone, I'd be on my smartphone), but looks like there are lots of extensions around the downsides that I can get around. Also, and I shouldn't be surprised, but it didn't come with Microsoft Office installed, so I'll have to buy it.
But hey, two gripes is nothing compared to my old workhorse.
