If Frolik was going to be out, they should have left Bollig in the lineup for this game.

Yeah love Doc: "....and Varlamov....reacted"

Varlamov is lucky there, he was not expecting that and was not ready at all.

With Montador being activated, they went over the 23-man roster limit. Someone had to be sent down, regardless of Frolik being sick. Only way would have been if Frolik went on IR, which wasn't going to happen.

if brookbank just keeps track of his defensive responsibility he's an upgrade over bollig

I hate Bollig but was thinking the same thing...I think this one may get physically ugly.

I wonder if Hoss is getting a night off just for rest purposes.

Leave Montador on IR until he's ready to play? Think it's fairly obvious.

sorry to bug you in your game thread but i got a fantasy related question.

has carcillo been on toew's line all year, or is he just up there because of an injury issue?

Right, but they clearly weren't expecting Hossa to be out for tonights game. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure they have to activate any player on LTIR if they're cleared to play, which Montador was.

Injury. And when we play a more physical game like with Detroit. But it is not a regular thing.

It's been a mix since he's come back. I'd say 70% Saad, 30% Carcillo. Changes depending on how phsyical the opposing team is, it seems. As far as play, he's been alright. He's not going to put up alot of points though, even on Toews' line.

Saad and Carcillo are rotated on the Toews line.

He's been out most of the year, when he's in he's typically 4th line but gets a few shifts on the 1st line. He may be on the 1st line against real physical teams, but probably still on the 4th other than his few shifts on the 1st.
