I forget but has it been pointed out that tonight's game is essentially the Carolina Rednecks versus the Montreal French-Canadian Rednecks? If you read about les habitants (les gens, pas l'equipe) you find that they were essentially the French speaking rednecks of Quebec. Farmers who engaged in a type of sharecropping, had loads of kids, and were fairly religious. Replace the French accent with a Southern twang and replace poutine with biscuits and gravy and could anybody really tell the two apart? Oh. Right. The French ones have overgrown egos that they don't deserve.

That 1520 channel is reserved for Special Events and is off-air otherwise. If you can get (not saying you'd watch) Bobcats games, you can get that channel. A couple of other games got bumped to SPEV because of a conflict with ACC b-ball.

Justin Peters will probably get his second start in a row tonight.

I'm predicting a close game in the first couple periods then all hell breaks loose in the 3rd.. It's Déjà vu all over again.

Honestly, if the 'canes come out like they did against Buffalo I see the 'canes taking it and onto a 5 game winning streak.

Not me. I'm predicting many goals will be scored by both teams. Over/under is 7.5.

****.

Clearly, Ellis's flu has become a concern around the lockerroom.

I'm good with that.

"Dan Ellis is a locker room virus."

Yeah. Not quite the same ring to it, but it still paints a picture. So now the Canes have a cancer, virus, and clown in their locker room. Any pieces of the puzzle missing?

Why are they risking the flu to have someone serve as a back-up?

Is this team so cheap that they couldn't call up Muse for a few days?

Can you put a guy on IR for a short-term flu?

They could put LaRose or Pitkanen on retroactive IR and free up a spot. But that would require paperwork and probably disrupt JR's nap.

You should, I remember getting it with the standard SD TWC package in Greensboro. I think it was 67 there, FSN was 51, IIRC. It's where you find most Braves games.

They should have Ellis sit with the other team's backup at the bottom of Section 123.

They need to have Ellis start wearing a surgical mask until he's over the flu.

What does Charlotte do for goalies then? The Florida Everblades used a goalie coach as their back up the other night, so I heard.

Sign an EBUG? (Assuming those are allowed in the AHL like they were in the ECHL)
