Ruin are lower lineup advantage by sending Andy and Tats back to the AHL?
Brunner - Zetterberg - Filppula
Cleary - Datsyuk - Franzen
Tatar - Helm - Samuelsson
Abdelkader - Emmerton - Tootoo

That's my guess.

EDIT: Didn't know Bertuzzi's situation was that serious. Tatar could keep his spot.

If and when they come back. Should prolly just plug Bert and Sammy into second line. Sit Abby and cleary. Helm. I dunno. Sit miller move emmer to the wing? I'd hate to touch that 3rd line. There so effective. Basically our first line right now. Minus the TOI

Edit: forgot about flip. Assuming Bert is out for good. I do this.

Franzen. Z. Brunner
Flip. D. Sammy
Tatar. Anderson. Eaves
Emmer. Helm. Tootoo

Well they are letting a lot slide. Big E would have got a hooking penalty 95% of the time in the first on that Hemsky chance and they are letting us do our little obstruction stuff. I have no problem with it but they are calls to be made in this game, mostly the Wings getting away with it too.

If we could somehow convince Holland to sit Cleary down and bring Nyquist up then that group of forwards look really great. Three scoring lines and a good fourth line (also replace Abdelkader with Andersson).

Brunner - Z - Franzen
Bert - dats - flip

Mayyyyyyybe package flip + emmer + higher pick for higher end defenseman put Andy on 4th line center add somewhat of a scoring punch?

It's funny how our top six carried us early in the season, rest looked like crap. Now it's our defense by committee and bottom six carrying us. It's like watching two completely different teams.

Oh I know, I'm kinda shocked there only has been one call right now, they def are letting alot slide. Which sucks, cause its going to confuse the players if/when they call it in the 3rd...

What a period from the Wings. That's great hockey right there. Kindl, hats off for that period. Smith engaging. Emmerton getting it done.

The Wings youth really shined against the team that's supposed to have the best young guys in the NHL.

I just wish Holland hadn't resigned some of the older guys and he was more willing to take a chance on letting the younger guys get adjusted on the NHL level sooner.

I know! haha I keep looking for Brunner apparel, but I can't find anything. I'm not going to buy his jersey (yet), but a shirt would be nice.

They also are playing with limited expectations and we get to clamour for more playing time. They dump all the older guys and these kids fall flat on their faces and everyone would be up in arms saying how could we rely so heavily on them. Well not everyone, but a lot of people currently killing this formula. If you're for the youth movement you better stick by the stinky parts of it, look across the ice tonight.

How is Ryan Whitney looking for the Oil? Is he coming around, or a spent force?

Holland's fear is the Wings would look like the Oilers, but worse, because his young guys aren't 1st overall picks.

The Oilers look terrible. By this time in their epic rebuild the Penguins were showing signs of life. Not so in Edmonton.

Smith and Datsyuk starting to show an understanding that could be really interesting.
