Malkin highlights on the Pens home page

Not gonna lie, I'm someone who has been a bit sour with Malkin's play this year. Mostly because he just hasn't been the guy we are used to seeing out there. The goal against Tampa is the guy we need to see out there.

Let's face it, without a serious upgrade to our defense and/or a scoring winger or two we are gonna need Crosby and Malkin to be be CROSBY AND MALKIN if we are gonna make a run.

I am firmly in the camp that believes those two CAN win us a Cup. If your faith in that is wavering just go to the Pens home page and look at the Malkin highlights they have lined up. Just amazing. IF we get THAT Malkin back and a healthy Sidney Crosby then the sky is the limit.

(Though a scoring winger would help if you are reading, Ray).

Let's Go Pens!

Meh, even with him "slumping" we're still not having trouble scoring goals. I'm more concerned with our D. A physical, shut down D would help us infinitely more than a scoring winger.

Malkin of last game was the Malkin of 2011-12. He was flying all over the ice and getting turnovers in the neutral zone with speed. When Malkin is flying and creating chaos he dominates play. When he is passive and doesn't play the full rink, he generally stagnates.

A little time off may have been good for him.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see how the rest of this season pans out for him.

If the past has taught us anything, it's that Geno has come back from injury ready to tear it up.

Hopefully Malkamania will run wild all over the rest of the NHL again.
