Hudon scored three third period goals in their 6-5 OT win. Before his goals they were down 5-1. +2, 5/7 SOG and 1st star. The kid is clutch.

I called him bust after he dropped out of college and his start when he returned to the Q wasn't very good...But hopefully he proves us wrong.

He sees himself as more of a powerforward so I hope he's really physical.

By next year IIRC... For 3 years they keep their rights. He was drafted in the summer of 2011

I think it's only two years, that didn't change. For Europeans it's 4 years.

I don't think they'll give him a contract.

That was his choice though, I said when he left his chances at a contract were basically none. People said they thought the Wings encouraged it which I doubt very much.

My Finnish isn't very good but what I got from the boxscore is Pulu had 2g+1a in a 5-2 Jokerit win.

Yes, Jokerit won 5-2 at stay alive for game 6 tomorrow in Rauma. Pulkkinen scored the first goal of the game from a breakaway(wrister from in close), assisted on the second and tapped in the 4th from the backpost.

Hudon has to be signed this summer, which most likely will not happen.

Just got back from Teemu's game. 2 important goals (1. first goal of the game and 2. right after Lukko cut the lead to one) and a PP assist. 1st star, +2 and 15:52 icetime. He also showed some grit by throwing a couple of nice hits, which was great to see.

I hope he keeps it going tomorrow when Jokerit have to get the W to make game 7.

Brooks Macek, who scored 73 points in his draft year, was not signed last year. I'm sure they're looking at the contract limit as well.

They've drafted very well in the past 3-4 drafts, so signing everybody isn't always possible. And in Hudon's draft year 2011 they drafted 8 other players who are all looking pretty good at the moment.

How many from the 2011 are signed? Where can you see all signed players?

Wings have signed Jurco, Ouellet, Sproul and Tvrdon. And still has Backman, Marchenko, Nedomlel, and Quine to sign from that class.

I can really see why detroit prefer college players and players playing in europe since they get so much extra time to see how they develope, if they draft CHL players there's not much time...

I really hope Tvrdon recoveres for next season and has a monster year... He has kind of been in the shadows, because of Jurco, Järnkrok, and now Frk... (not counting Nyquist, Tatar, Pulkkinen)

He's got something the other skilled players dont...size... he's already at 220lbs

When we sign Jensen, every player from 2009 will have gotten a contract. Nestrasil and Fournier look average, but that is still uncommon to see.

Something to consider is that the 11 draft already has Frk signed.

And then the only other two guys to sign are Athanasiou and maybe Paterson

McKee and De Haas have 4 more years to show what they can do. I actually have a feeling that both may eventually be signed.

I don't think Paterson is a maybe at all.

I would like them to figure out a way to dump Nestrasil and Fournier off the books. Coetzee is another useless 50 player contract, he has no shot.

Nestrasil, Coetzee, Fournier, and Parkes still have a year left after this season. Nestrasil has the size, but isn't a bottom six player, he is Europe bound in the near future. Parkes probably has the most realistic shot of making it someday and that is like 1% with the Wings.
