I don't mind next game but I think its bad luck to push it.

But like a goalie playing well, I do not think its best to blindly push forward and just go until they get completely shelled. Its ok to take a break after a string of wins.

That said, I will do all the Florida games

Is this going to be one of our passive 3 shot periods?

Eh, we've got new girlfriend (or boyfriend) syndrome with the new d-man. Like the rest of the league, let's give him a few weeks so we can see his flaws and pick them apart.

Score got out of hand too quickly. Caps controlled the game more or less so haven't really taken anything, Cats haven't done anything bad enough for the refs to justify calling in a 4-0 game.

They're definitely there. At the very least he's still dazzled by the speed of some stickhandling, which has beaten him in passing plays a few times. Not exactly the fastest, but he is what he is. Physical, and willing to be a crease presence.

FLA coming out with a sense of urgency to get back into this game might have something to do with it. I am sure their HC tore into them something fierce during intermission. Or at least I hope he did.

This is the type of game where Jagr would wake up, score 8 points and convince everyone he is still the greatest player in the game.

I was thinking the same. Sure a lot may be classic adrenaline we see in young kids in the first callups. But he is no spring chicken, he is 27. I think this may be him.

He is making quick decisions with the puck. Contrast to others on the point, who seem to look for any reason to NOT try and crush it at the goal.

He is assertive and physical, he is the anti-Sarge.

Shiny new toy. Absolutely, but at least he is showing well.

And there is a hip check.

Why don't Carlson and Green try basic things like hitting.

Jagr probably was the best player in the game when he was here. He just didn't give a ****. Hmmmm.

If they could get Erskine, Oleksy, and Orlov in at the same time it would be the closest thing this team has had to balls since 2008/09

When was the last time a Cap defender threw a hip check? Back before Green retired?

That hip check won't do anything to stop the love affair with him at this point.

Players don't try hip checks because refs don't see them enough so they call penalties on them. Zubrus throws a beautiful hip check, and I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of times he got called for tripping on them.

Why is it an offensive zone off a icing call, Oates doesn't put out Ovechkin?
