Yep, and i'm buddies with Jordin Tootoo and i can assure you he's not 200 pounds either, he's probably 180 tops.

Just curious where big bad Rinaldo was when Lucic punched him in the dome and dropped him in the playoffs, or where Simmonds and Rinaldo were when Lucic boarded him last year?

We will see on Saturday how tough he is, of course he will probably find David Krejci or Patrice Bergeron.
Ahhh the ref had Lucic tied up. Simmonds was there jawing with though. Lucic would probably win but there's no doubt Simmonds would drop them with him and give him a good fight. No need to be a blind homer.

Ironically you're calling me a blind homer.

You reading what this other Philly fan is saying? Do you truly believe that Rinaldo is the best pound for pound fighter in the NHL? - I'm honestly curious.

IMO best fighter is Mcgrattan and then Orr. Both these guys are great at it because they like to cause trouble sometimes instead of just skating around and wait for the staged fight or until they have to watch one of their guys get a cheap shot thrown at them to do something.

Engelland is also a great fighter and especially tough to play against because he's a solid bottom pairing dman. Would love this guy on my team!
Agree fully

He will be in the same hiding spot Lucic was in when he was running from Laraque. Nah he will just destroy 6'4" 240 lb Nathan Horton again... Are you seriously bragging about a 250 lb Lucic being able to beat a 170 lb Rinaldo? Sad.

sense, you make none. Rinaldo shouldn't even be mentionned. The guy isn't even in the top5 middleweight.

Not sure if this is an attempt at sarcasm or if it's the truth, either way what's your point?

Well, it took a few pages for the irrelevant Laraque to be mentioned.

Ok, i don't get this... You're an expert on Rinaldo being 170 pounds and now you're adding 30 pounds to both Horton and Lucic's weight?

Good god, are you a mess?

Considering he regularly beats guys 40 lbs+ heavier than him and no one close to his weight can beat him, it's a no brainer

I sincerely thought Lucic and Horton were heavier than their listed weight, and I'm almost sure Lucic is more than 220

Are all better, if you consider them in Rinaldos weight class, which they aren't.

You said Simmonds was ducking Lucic. I was commenting on that. Simmonds fought Engelland last year after taking a puck to the face a day or two prior to the fight. I'm sure he's not scared of fighting Lucic.

As for Rinaldo no I don't think he's pound for pound best fighter but I'm sure he's up there. Personally I would say Tootoo is.

McQuaid is a middleweight and he would beat Rinaldo, IMO.

And I'm sincerely sure that Rinaldo doesn't only weigh 30 pounds more than my 4 year old dog.

In what world is being 6' 4" 200 lbs considered a middleweight. He's a light heavy.

I think you guys are probably underestimating the amount of muscle on these pro athletes. I'm close to Tootoos height but I'm fairly stocky and weigh around 180. I'm not close to the brick **** house that Tootoo is though. He has to be at least 190

I definitely might be wrong, but in the summer he looked like he slim med out big time. May just be because of the summer, who knows?

Basically what we have gathered here in this thread is that Rinaldo is the best fighter in the NHL, everyone is scared of him, he weighs only 30 pounds more than my Newfoundland dog and that he will fight anyone.

So Rinaldo is the best in the league...

I think you guys are over valuing Lucic as a fighter. On talent compared to these guys he is by farrrrrr the best. He is a beast and could beat anyone of these guys in a fight also, but so could every other guy. Until he fights a few more top line heavyweights. He got smoked by Orr, beat and drew Neil, edged and got smoked by erskine, lost and drew Gleason, edged and beat carkner, edged by boulton, lost and beat boll. sorry if I missed any, but against heavyweights lucic is 5-5-3 and the only really top flight heavy was Orr. Most of those loses came when lucic was 20 or younger he has become much stronger and a better fighter, but until he shows it against a few more heavies, I'm not willing to put (my favorite player) in the top 5 fighters or enforcers in the NHL

How many of those fights against heavies came recently, though? Lucic fought a lot of those guys when he was younger and more inexperienced, and as of late hasn't really lost many, regardless of who they are. (edit: didn't read your whole post before repyling, noted).

I have him at 7-4-6 vs. heavies in his career btw after a cursory glance at this card: http://dropyourgloves.com/Fights/Fig...x?Player=14027
