Don't care to have Tampa or Florida in the division. Would much rather Columbus and someone else, TBH.

Would you like it if most of the leafs road games started at 830 or later? Most people like games to be earlier. Why should detroit or columbus suffer?

Very challenging division. Not good news for the Leafs. They need to be very sharp moving forward. Each of that team has the potential to be better than us, save for Florida maybe but they've also got a rich farm.

Terrible division, for jay fans who hate the AL East, this is headed towards the same. And the Jays haven't made the playoffs in how many years? Put them in the NHL and they'd probably be in there perennially.

What a defeatist attitude.
Was going to say something along these lines. If the division is too hard for us to make the playoffs that just means we aren't good enough. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best!

So then move Toronto west!! Really? That's the best answer? Unfortuately the locations of the teams means someone is going to get "the shaft." Taking Detroit away from its other Midwest counterparts hurts them more than moving Detroit helps Detroit. Also moving Columbus to KC or LV or Seattle makes the alignment easier.

I don't think they should do realignment.

Doesn't seem like the strongest division to me. We added a good team in Detroit, a meh team in Tampa and a not very good team in Florida.

Can't compare it to the AL East at all really.

And we don't have potential to be better then those teams?

My god the whining in here is freakin ridiculous, stop over-rating other teams and stop under-rating your own. What the **** kind of fans are you?

We've shown we can dominate Montreal, we've beaten Detroit plenty in the past couple of years, we've beaten Ottawa(even last year with our no defense system and with their line-up healthy), the Florida teams aren't exactly power-houses either. The only team that's really threatening that we've proven that we can't beat are the Bruins.

With the Leafs and Habs showing significant improvement, it'll be a very exciting division especially having 4/6 original 6 teams competing against each other.

Detroit has been campaigning to move to the East for years now.

It is a shame this attitude seems to be lost on many of Leaf fans here. I guess people really have decided to settle for just squeaking into the post-season.

We're having the best season we've had since before the '05 lockout and yet people are finding a way to whine more than ever - about absolutely everything.

Wow. Detroit and Boston basically get a bye into the playoffs.
That leaves a bunch of teams for the last birth and wildcard.

Good luck leafs.

I've long suspected that many of the non-whiners who may have once visited the Leaf boards here have effectively been driven away by the whiners.

It makes no sense, they cry when we lose and cry more when we win. They can never be happy with any win, they have to pick apart every single aspect of the game in hopes that they come off as an intelligent/"realistic" fan.
