I'd love for Pete to have the balls to bench Sal. He's not that kinda guy though. Tally is injured, but as much **** as I talked about him earlier in the year between benchings, he's been solid since he came back in after the Washington game.

Devils absolutely destroyed Buffalo at even strength tonight. I'm sure I'll read a bunch of complaints about how the Devils played, but color me satisfied. I'm sure everyone's mad at Kovalchuk but he looked fine to me. Not sure what else anyone expects him to do when he has yet to play a full game on the same line.

But anyway, Kostopolous looked pretty good. Definitely a "hockey player." If the Devils play like this against Carolina, that team is getting LIT.

Guess who's -1 and the only Devils with a minus tonight again ?
Guy's been on the ice for 31 goals against so far, 2nd behind him is Kovachuk with 8 less goals against.

I don't know man. Carolina has a backup as their starter now. I expect he'll shut us out.

For the first 54 minutes or so.

I liked kostopoulos tonight on.the fourth line tbh. And lokti-poni-kovy looked pretty solid in the third once they were put together

Kostopolous was a big upgrade over Barch on the 4th line.

I second that. He looked good on the forecheck and played a pretty physical game. He looked like he was in the wrong place at times and he wasn't the best skater, but I it's what you expect in his first game with the time. I was satisfied with Tom, especially for a 4th liner.

Lol that scrum was hilarious. Ennis goes all out on Travis, then Travis touches Ennis and Ennis falls down. And Travis is just standing there like "I ain't even mad."

It was a S/O win but they played well. Main issue remains the same, rotten luck and lack of opportunism, they can't finish until they're desperate. It's not a bad team.

Good news is that luck seemed to be back on our side late in the 3rd period with Pompomville's shot off the post and Patty's goal. We'll see.

Agree he was fine on the 4th. Much much better than Barch. I can't wait for Zubie to be back too bc we desperately need some size and grit. We don't take the body enough.

I got that feeling too, seemed like the type of thing to just get Zajac to go into beast mode.

The captain? In the last two weeks when we've been struggling to score I've become fed up with him. It's not so much him (He was the worst player in the last two games though) but that contract makes me cringe. I wanted him back last year too. I also had no complaints with the contract when it was signed.

After seeing other free agents this year who are getting only a million more who are almost point per game players, I can't justify that contract at all.

Personally, I think we should be setting our sights on passing ottawa and/or toronto and we'll be fine the rest of the way. Both are doing well but nothing impressive.

Salvador is bad.

I'll stick to positives the rest of the way til saturday though. YAY POINTS!

Marek Zidlicky has been playing very well over the past couple games. He made some very nice plays today to keep the offensive pressure going - I've been impressed with him.

It took a lot of luck, but NJ finally breaks out of this losing streak. The next game against Carolina is absolutely huge now, they NEED to keep this going and win another one.

That 30 seconds of 3 on 3 was pretty cool. Give them 5 minutes of 3 on 3 instead of a shootout, Bettman!

Ottawa could start looking like they're really depleted soon enough. Toronto could start looking like the Laffs when James Reimer starts looking like James Reimer again. Sometimes it takes 55-60 games into the season for Toronto to implode.

Nice

For Miller, "I don't wanna hear it" perhaps

Great win at home, heck, great win anywhere on Earth. Tom Kos looked good with the 4th line, arguably the best line in the second period. Harrold doing his thing well.

Love Zajac trying to get his glove off and still punch Tennis with two stripes on him

I've got only one thing that pisses me off and it's not against Salvador himself. It's his Captaincy making him an unscratchable player. F that.
