Alright Blues fans, it's your lucky day.
We're all ready to get rid of one of Bouwmeester or Giordano.

Which do you want, and for what?

Gio for Rattie and Cole.

Please don't bother asking for a roster forward.

Has he been having an off year? Maybe Army wouldn't give that much up then, but that's the most I'd go.

He hasn't looked as good under Hartleys new system. Been better lately than then the start of the season.

I would love to get Gio, I know he's having a bad season but I would take the risk of him rebounding. Playing with Petro might get him playing up to par. I wouldn't want to give up Rattie and Cole but gotta give to get.

Trades I would make

Giordano + pick outside of the first 3 rounds (might have to be next year if we give up another pick in this years)

2 of rattie/cole/blues 1st

Giordano + depth scorer/dman (stempniak/smith being the only I think might help the blues)

Berglund

Only one that makes sense is the first.

The first one makes sense and is agreeable.

No chance on the second one.

Gio for Rattie + Cole seems like fair value for both teams. Both fan bases basicly agree on it, this trade should happen! Feaster probably doesn't want to risk screwing up his Stanley Cup chemistry, so it probably won't lol!

This.

And I would pick up Gio at Lambert Airport, then to the Blues practice facility at the Mills.

Why would anyone want Giordano right now? He has been beyond awful this season.

I am a Flames fan who lives in St Louis and also a Blues season ticket holder. If this deal was to go through I would personally travel to Calgary and take Gio to St. Louis myself! I would probably have to be wearing my Giordano Flames jersey to Blues games then. Plus I would pay for his meals on the way back to St. Louis and any other travel expenses. The only thing I would ask in return would be an autograph and picture with him.

He doesn't fit into Hartley's system on St.Louis he could very well return to his 30+ point pace.

I haven't watched the Flames, what's the major differences in the 2 systems and why has the play of Gio and JayBo been so different in them?

Hartley wants to play run and gun, fast passes, and Gio isn't great at break out passing and he isn't amazing at finding an open teammate the second he gets the puck. But in a more defensive system he does much better as he can play more physically.

Sutter was more defense, while Hartley is all about fast paced offensive hockey, which has benefited bouwmeester greatly and has pushed giordano back in to a bit of a defensive role

This.

Giordano under Hitchcock would return to form. Especially if he was playing with Piets.

Rattie + Cole done-deal.

How about Jaskin instead of Rattie? Could something be worked around that?

Doubtful. Jaskin is tracking extremely well, and he's a big body that actually plays big. He's something the Blues desperately need.
