Nemeth. 47 points in the OHL is not impressive for your draft year.

Like before Nemeth, Guptill, and Connauton are fighting for these spots.

Based on potential upside, Desrosiers and Dickinson also want to be in the mix here. Of course they were just drafted, so there are a few that are further along with roughly about the same potential upside also looking to be in the mix with Bystrom, Shore, Winther, and Molin.

I should have said I went with Nemeth mainly due to being further along. I'd end up putting him, Guptill, and Connauton in these next spots due to being further along.

Dickinson and Desrosiers, while looking to have great upside, would be put down with another group as they were just drafted and need to prove themselves, IMO. Thus for me they are in the mix with with Bystrom, Shore, Winther, and Molin. I'm not sure I made that clear in my above post.

Went with Nemeth simply because I don't see anyway that he does not become a NHLer barring continued concussion problems.

BTW changed my name from BennyJ to something a little more impersonal (allusion to Dallas Stars and London Knights if you were wondering). Just don't want vote to be removed because of an unfamiliar name.

Accidentally voted Desrosiers on my phone, it was meant to be Nemeth.

Add Emil Molin for god sakes.

Production matters especially in juniors. It's very rare that a guy who's not a point per game player evolves into a game changer. Dickinson has the tools but nowhere near the resume of several guys on this list. If Guptill were in juniors everyone would rave about his numbers and ability. I hope no one is letting Reilly Smith's disappointment cloud their opinion on just how good the Michigan man is.

What's the current scout report on Guptill? Seems like an interesting player that is flying under the radar due to the competition he's playing in. I've seen like one highlight on him which was an outstanding goal that shows off his hands and size.

For me to consider Dickinson as anything other than a mid-level guy, he has to progress like James Neal did. Neal had a middling draft year and then took off partway through the next season and carried it through the OHL playoffs and beyond.

The knocks on Neal coming into the draft are very similar to Dickinson's: consistent effort and production, projectable frame but underdeveloped and lacking physicality at times. I can see him blossoming the same way, and in fact, it's possible he's more skilled overall than Neal was at the same age.

Until he does, however, there are a lot of guys I put before him.
