Rexall Place parking question

I got tickets to the Oilers/Blues game in two weeks and was wondering where the best place to park that isn't at the actual arena parking.

I like to park at Axe Music (Gretzky Dr Northbound around 120 ave). It's really easy to get back to the Yellowhead and you avoid a lot of pedestrian traffic.

Use the parking lot. The trick is to park near the expo center, right by where you enter. That way when you go to leave, you're right at the front. It's never more than 5 minutes

I should stop saying this (some people treat it as a secret) but Borden Park is best place to park if one is coming from Southside. Just take Capilano and exit on 112ave. Just a 3 block walk and you end up not waiting at all to exit. I get home in 20mins after a game. I can never understand people waiting in line on Wayne Gretzky to enter via 115ave or further north. Exit at 112ave and theres never any time lost. You end up walking the few blks much faster then you drive it in bumper to bumper traffic.

Best thing is Borden park is free and you get a little bit of exercise.

I thought you don't go to hockey games?

Axe is the best especially on nights when it's cold out.

Been parking at the racetrack/casino for years. Don't pay a dime, no more than 5 extra minute walk.

I don't anymore. I do go to some other events at Northlands or Rexall Place.

Yeah, this too.

If its really cold out I'll do that. Sometimes though they are checking and if they see you walking from your car in a direction other than the racetrack you could be in a problem as technically the parking is for racetrack. But as I recall you sometimes stop in at the track for pre game food so you're all good to go.

I've done the same.

Luckily, haven't been pinched once.

I'll grab the shuttle to Rexall when it's super cold, $5 return gets you to and from Rexall's front door. Great deal, and makes the parking legit.

I usually park in the residential area behind axe music, just walk a few blocks.

PM me if you want a place that's close and free.

I don't want my fishing holes all over the Internet either, but I'll share with the OP.
