Dave Bolland

Are you guys ever planning on trading Bolland for a 2nd line centre or do fill that roll with Sharp. If you were to trade Bolland would you do for a guy like Grabovski.

I think Kadri for Bolland is a fair tradeoff for all those Kubina/Seabrook proposals from a few years ago

Only way the Hawks could afford the Grabovski contract going forward would be if the Leafs retain 25/30% of it

if they're trading bolland for him (and they're buying out Montador and Olesz) then they're fine.

Not in coming years when Kane/Toews need raises and Saad will need raise

none of that would prevent them from adding grabovski if bolland is being moved.

Yeah it would actually. His cap hit is a lot higher, and the Hawks need to lose salary, not gain some. And you know Toronto won't eat any of his cap hit.

there's a difference of about $2m and we also have two buyouts. it's definitely do-able.

if we got rid of bolland, montador, and olesz and acquired grabovski we'd have $9.75 m in cap space going into next season...and the cap is going to start rising again after next year.

Huge pass on Grabovski for Bolland. Chicago doesn't need anymore 5.5M+ contracts, never mind guys that are overpaid making that much.

for Bolland? I gladly take picks to keep our prospect pool good when we need to replace Hossa/Sharp in the future

Agreed, another stellar weekend for Davey minus 2 more, 2 shots on goal and zero points. Heating up just in time.

You guys are going to have egg all over your faces if Bolland comes alive in the POs like he always has. This is a discussion that should wait for the offseason. He's earned that much trust.

The Chicago Blackhawks don't need Grabrovski and his bloated contract. The Chicago Blackhawks will slot Brandon Pirri or Drew Leblanc in the second line center role next season.

Yup. I've been a big time Bolly supporter even through this year, but even I can see why people are frustrated with him. But still, who gives a flying **** about the regular season when it comes to him? If he shows 3/4 of the fire he has in past offseasons, he is irreplaceable.

I'll give him the post season to turn it around, if he doesn't...I have no problem sending him off for whatever.

I can see the reason for frustration too. Still, it takes a long time to go from "We need this guy" to "We need to get rid of this guy" and to not even wait the full season is ridiculous, especially when he has been forced into a role he is not good at. It's not his fault we never got a 2C.

You will be the first to know when I decide to trade Dave Bolland. I've gotten a lot of calls, but not ready quite yet.

Marcus Kruger is the Chicago Blackhawks 4C.

getting rid of Bolland is the wrong words to use... nobody really wants to get rid of him but in the end, it may be the best for the franchise

He has been frustrating to me. Bu I also have been frustrated with Q thinking he is a 2C. And we had opportunities to bring someone up for a few game trial even and Q would still stick with him at 2C. Like he was afraid someone would actually be better than Bolland which would not take much this season.

I guess if Q really wanted Pirri, he could have him but when Bolland was hurt, Bowman should have forced it on him if that is what it was going to take to give the kid an opportunity. However, he (Stan) keeps saying Bolland is doing well as a 2C so that isn't going to happen.

that's pretty funny considering your over the top and knee jerk reaction every time Bowman displeases you.
