I know it comes down to having an up to date arena and interested ownership, but I don't see the point of putting a team in KC. Lots of places have nice arenas; that doesn't mean they'd be a good market for the NHL. KC isn't a big market, and doesn't have the media power or potential revenue of places like Seattle, Houston, Quebec, Toronto, etc.

Coyotes make it 6-2, and the Preds make it 6-3 about 30 seconds after that.

Islanders win in shootout

Flyers fall to 13-17-3 with 15 games and trailing most of East for playoff spot

Its nice to see Isles hanging around playoff picture ,, Would really like to see them sneak in as #8 seed

If Sens hold on the Rangers/Isles will be tied for 8th seed (Rangers have 1 game less played)

Saw that live, didn't understand that at all.

Toronto has no idea what a 'kick' is.

I mean, you're supposed to be allowed to use your foot to redirect it, and long as you don't KICK. You're foot can't swing in a KICKING motion. That isn't a kick, he's just placing his foot at the right angle to get a bounce.

Never say never, but yes.... not for a long, long time.

The only way that Saskatoon will get a team in the next half century will be if it's either relocating a team there or contracting because no other market is interested.

Had the puck gone in off his left foot i could see an argument for a kick... But it went in off the right foot where there was no kick at all..

There is definitely no 'distinct kicking motion'. Should have counted

Rinne is looking pretty average without Suter manning the top D pairing. Sliding everyone up a spot isn't working too well for them.

Just noticed that not only do have the Pens have a 14 game win streak going but they now have more points than we do (although they've played more games).

easy to say this and I said it since they were the Preds top pair. Weber is the more flashy player, that's why he was that Norris nominee.

I agree that Weber is better but I don't think the gap is that big. If Weber left and Suter had stayed I don't think they'd be hurting any more than they currently are.

Agreed. Two completely different types of defensemen. Not sure how anyone could say the gap between the two "isn't even close." Weber has a cap hit of about $300K more per year, and one more year on his contract. I'd say they're both paid accordingly in comparison with each other. However, I would't be surprised if Suter is the better of the two the last few years of those contracts.

I have always felt Suter was better defender and covered some of Weber's mistakes

Regardless of who we all find better, they are both excellent defensemen. One thing that is obvious is that both did a good job of protecting Rinne.

Damn, didn't realize Suter was up to 27 points after 32 games, with 11 coming on the PP. Thought he was more in the high teens without looking.
