Oh I'm not saying it's a fact, just a rumor I read about, otherwise would have posted a link or something.

Their goalie is hot and they are solid right now.

They still aren't a good team. Of the playoff teams available to play, they are clearly the worst team.

I would choose the Jackets also. They play the Hawks very tough, but can't seem to get a W against the Hawks. Plus the light travel helps down the line.

The travel is big. I'd much rather play the Jackets then have to fly out to San Jose in the first round.

I wouldn't worry about the Jackets. They play us tough, but let's face it.... the Hawks also constantly underestimated them during the season and their work ethic put them on our level.

That hubris won't happen to the Hawks in postseason mode. Columbus is not a bad team by any stretch now, but if we can't beat them in a best of seven series then we don't deserve to have lofty expectations.

We own Vancouver in the playoffs. I'd be worried about Detroit and Columbus.

In the 2011-12 playoffs the Blackhawks lost to an extremely defensively minded team without any real offensive threats. That team rode a hot goaltender past the Hawks in 6 games.

Why would CBJ be that much different? I know i just posted saying i'd love to face but in all honesty, there isn't any team in the West i'd like to play. They all scare me because the Hawks scare me sometimes. They can look so unbelievable at times and then they can have their game dictated by other teams sometimes too. The playoffs are going to give me a heart attack

It is fun to talk about who to play in the playoffs instead of worrying about making it!

Feaster is terrible GM

The fact he allows the Blues to not give Flames there 1st if they miss playoffs this year is laughable

Isles take out Devils 3-1
Rangers win 4-2

Both NY teams with 37 pts in tie for 8th (Rangers 1 less GP) and Devils are only 2 pts ahead of both in #7 spot

Could be real fun fight between NY Metro teams

Do you expect Blues to struggle as much next year?

And if Blues miss playoffs remember all teams get chance at #1 overall in this years lotto.. Heavy odds agains it happening but can you imagine if Blues miss playoffs and win Lotto this draft

Poor Flames fans, they finally sell off their players and they don't even get anything for them...

Doesn't matter, if you hope to win the Cup you have to beat good teams no matter when you play them.

Quite true, but the teams I mentioned will be softened up a bit after the 1st round, maybe quite a bit if they go through a gruelling 7 game series, hence an easier opponent. Especially so if we can dispose of a team in a relatively short time in round 1 and are well rested. Nothing is guaranteed of course, we see upsets every year, but I’d much rather face the opponents that give us a hard time, in a later round. And sometimes you luck out and a rival you’d rather not meet, gets eliminated.
(like Yotes did to us last season)
